Today’s Torah Portion Concerning the Great Flood: Genesis 6:9 – 11:32

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

All traditional Native American teachers preface “sayings” by stating “do not believe anything I say… go check it with Creator.” I encourage you to study this document out in your mind, and then read Section 9 of the Doctrine and Covenants where Oliver Cowdery was given this advice::

8 But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right.
9 But if it be not right you shall have no such feelings, but you shall have a stupor of thought that shall cause you to forget the thing which is wrong; therefore, you cannot write that which is sacred save it be given you from me.

I am going be discussing the historical issues concerning the Book of Mormon prophecies of “The Choice Seer” the “The Branch Prophet” contained in The Book of Mormon, The Holy Bible, and in Native American Prophecy.

By the end of this “philippic,” which I hope will not be a desultory one, I will share a little of  my personal story, and how I arrived at my conclusions, but first let me introduce you to what the founders of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints had on their minds about the American Indian and their eventual destiny – a destiny of priesthood leadership over the European immigrants from whom the Book of Mormon came forth.

Yes, I DID just state that Native American Indians were destined for preeminence in Priesthood after The Order of The Son of God a/k/a The Melchizedek Priesthood.

The matter of identifying The Choice Seer, a future Indian Prophet, was a very important matter in the mind of Joseph Smith Jr, Brigham Young, Heber C. Kimball and many others. Sadly, this search was more or less abandoned by Brigham Young’s death in 1877, and carried on by a few faithful watchmen.

Orson Pratt, Sr. was a leader in the Latter Day Saint movement and an original member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles.

Today, the official magazine of the LDS Church is The Ensign Magazine. The first such “house organ” of the LDS Church was known as The Journal of Discourses.

The Apostle Orson Pratt explained:

“What I wish to call your special attention to now, so far as these sayings are concerned, is this—the Latter-day Saints in these mountains never can have the privilege of going back to Jackson County and building that city which is to be called the New Jerusalem, upon the spot that was appointed by revelation through the Prophet Joseph, until quite a large portion of the remnants of Joseph go back with us.“ ” We shall have the privilege of helping them to build the New Jerusalem. The Lord says, “They,” the Gentiles, who believe in the Book of Mormon, “shall assist my people, the remnant of Jacob, that they may build a city, which shall be called the New Jerusalem.”

Pratt continues: “Now, a great many, without reading these things, have flattered themselves that we are the ones who are going to do all this work. It is not so; we have got to be helpers, we have got to be those who co-operate with the remnants of Joseph in accomplishing this great work; for the Lord will have respect unto them, because they are of the blood of Israel, and the promises of their fathers extend to them, and they will have the privilege of building that city, according to the pattern that the Lord shall give. Do not misunderstand me, do not think that all the Lamanite tribes are going to be converted and receive this great degree of education and civilization before we can return to Jackson County. Do not think this for a moment, it will only be a remnant; for when we have laid the foundation of that city and have built a portion of it, and have built a temple therein, there is another work which we have got to do in connection with these remnants of Jacob whom we shall assist in building the city. What is it? We have got to be sent forth as missionaries to all parts of this American continent. Not to the Gentiles, for their times will be fulfilled; but we must go to all those tribes that roam through the cold regions of the north—British America, to all the tribes that dwell in the territories of the United States, also to all those who are scattered through Mexico, and Central and South America, and the object of our going will be to declare the principles of the Gospel unto them, and bring them to a knowledge of the truth. “Then shall they assist my people who are scattered on all the face of the land, that they may be gathered in to the New Jerusalem.”

Will not this be a great work? It will take a good while to gather all these tribes of South America, for some of them will have to come from five to eight thousand miles in order to reach the New Jerusalem. This will be quite a work, and yet we shall have to perform it after the city is built. (JD 17:301-302)

The Book of Mormon Second Book of Nephi, Chapter Three (Utah edition)

Contrary to conventional wisdom amongst Latter-day saints, there is an as yet unfulfilled prophecy in The Book of Mormon. The stringent qualifications for a “Choice Seer” are italicized in red.

2nd Nephi, Chapter 3 in the Utah edition (It was originally Chapter 2 in the 1830 Palmyra edition — see the original 1830 Book of Mormon at http://www.inephi.com/67.htm)

2 Nephi Chapter 3
2 Nephi 3:1 1 And now I speak unto you, Joseph, my last-born. Thou wast born in the wilderness of mine afflictions; yea, in the days of my greatest sorrow did thy mother bear thee.
2 Nephi 3:2 2 And may the Lord consecrate also unto thee this land, which is a most precious land, for thine inheritance and the inheritance of thy seed with thy brethren, for thy security forever, if it so be that ye shall keep the commandments of the Holy One of Israel.
2 Nephi 3:3 3 And now, Joseph, my last-born, whom I have brought out of the wilderness of mine afflictions, may the Lord bless thee forever, for thy seed shall not utterly be destroyed.
2 Nephi 3:4 4 For behold, thou art the fruit of my loins; and I am a descendant of Joseph who was carried captive into Egypt. And great were the covenants of the Lord which he made unto Joseph.
2 Nephi 3:5 5 Wherefore, Joseph truly saw our day. And he obtained a promise of the Lord, that out of the fruit of his loins the Lord
God would raise up a righteous branch unto the house of Israel; not the Messiah, but a branch which was to be broken off, nevertheless, to be remembered in the covenants of the Lord that the Messiah should be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the spirit of power, unto the bringing of them out of darkness unto light–yea, out of hidden darkness and out of captivity unto freedom.
2 Nephi 3:6 6 For Joseph truly testified, saying: A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my
loins.
2 Nephi 3:7 7 Yea, Joseph truly said: Thus saith the Lord unto me: A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and he shall
be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins. And unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, which shall be of great worth unto them, even to the bringing of them to the knowledge of the covenants
which I have made with thy fathers.
2 Nephi 3:8 8 And I will give unto him a commandment that he shall do none other work, save the work which I shall command him. And I will make him great in mine eyes; for he shall do my work.
2 Nephi 3:9 9 And he shall be great like unto Moses, whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel.
2 Nephi 3:10 10 And Moses will I raise up, to deliver thy people out of the land of Egypt.
2 Nephi 3:11 11 But a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins–and not to the bringing forth my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them.
2 Nephi 3:12 12 Wherefore, the fruit of thy loins shall write; and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together, unto the confounding of false doctrines and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to the knowledge of their fathers in the latter days, and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.
2 Nephi 3:13 13 And out of weakness he shall be made strong, in that day when my work shall commence among all my people, unto the restoring thee, O house of Israel, saith the Lord.
2 Nephi 3:14 14 And thus prophesied Joseph, saying: Behold, that seer will the Lord bless; and they that seek to destroy him shall be
confounded; for this promise, which I have obtained of the Lord, of the fruit of my loins, shall be fulfilled. Behold, I am sure of the fulfilling of this promise;
2 Nephi 3:15 15 And his name shall be called after me; and it shall be after the name of his father. And he shall be like unto me; for the thing, which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand, by the power of the Lord shall bring my people unto salvation.
2 Nephi 3:16 16 Yea, thus prophesied Joseph: I am sure of this thing, even as I am sure of the promise of Moses; for the Lord hath said unto me, I will preserve thy seed forever.
2 Nephi 3:17 17 And the Lord hath said: I will raise up a Moses; and I will give power unto him in a rod; and I will give judgment unto him
in writing. Yet I will not loose his tongue, that he shall speak much, for I will not make him mighty in speaking. But I will
write unto him my law, by the finger of mine own hand; and I will make a spokesman for him.
2 Nephi 3:18 18 And the Lord said unto me also: I will raise up unto the fruit of thy loins; and I will make for him a spokesman. And I, behold, I will give unto him that he shall write the writing of the fruit of thy loins, unto the fruit of thy loins; and the spokesman of thy loins shall declare it.
2 Nephi 3:19 19 And the words which he shall write shall be the words which are expedient in my wisdom should go forth unto the fruit of thy loins. And it shall be as if the fruit of thy loins had cried unto them from the dust; for I know their faith.
2 Nephi 3:20 20 And they shall cry from the dust; yea, even repentance unto their brethren, even after many generations have gone by them.
And it shall come to pass that their cry shall go, even according to the simpleness of their words.
2 Nephi 3:21 21 Because of their faith their words shall proceed forth out of my mouth unto their brethren who are the fruit of thy loins; and the weakness of their words will I make strong in their faith, unto the remembering of my covenant which I made unto thy fathers.
2 Nephi 3:22 22 And now, behold, my son Joseph, after this manner did my father of old prophesy.
2 Nephi 3:23 23 Wherefore, because of this covenant thou art blessed; for thy seed shall not be destroyed, for they shall hearken unto the words of the book.
2 Nephi 3:24 24 And there shall rise up one mighty among them, who shall do much good, both in word and in deed, being an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith, to work mighty wonders, and do that thing which is great in the sight of God, unto the bringing to pass much restoration unto the house of Israel, and unto the seed of thy brethren.
2 Nephi 3:25 25 And now, blessed art thou, Joseph. Behold, thou art little; wherefore hearken unto the words of thy brother, Nephi, and it shall be done unto thee even according to the words which I have spoken. Remember the words of thy dying father. Amen.

My hypothesis is: Latter-day Saints were originally taught by their founders that in the future an Native American Indian Prophet and Seer whose name would either be “Joseph” or “Lehi,” would become a lawgiver to the Native American Indians. This “seer” would be from the lineage of Joseph, the last son of Lehi. In other words, this person MUST be a descendant of the survivors of the final battle written of in Mormon 6:11-15 and could not possibly be of any European descent.

For an excellent background on Israelite/Nephite/Mesoamerican warfare see Nephite Captains and Armies by A. Brent Merrill. In that article, he states:

Following the death of Mormon — resulting either from his wounds at Cumorah or from being hunted down by Lamanite warriors (see Mormon 8:3-5) — Moroni continued his father’s record. For at least the next thirty-six years, Moroni apparently wandered alone over vast parts of the North American continent. During this time, he made several substantial contributions to the sacred plates. In about A.D. 421, Moroni deposited the plates, which largely contained Mormon’s abridgment of Nephite history, in a hill (Cumorah) in upstate New York. Among many other things, his record indicates that subsequent to the Nephite destruction, extensive warfare continued among the Lamanites. The history of Mesoamerica does in fact suggest that warfare became increasingly common in the post-Book of Mormon era.

There are also historical and archaeological indications that significant movements of Mesoamerican people and ideas eventually penetrated as far north as what is now the Arizona-New Mexico area and into the lower and mid-Mississippi Valley and southeastern states region.(Source: Hassig, Aztec Warfare, 55-60, who concludes that Aztec armies could have numbered several hundred thousand.) For instance, “by about A.D. 700 a vibrant, well-organized way of life called the Mississippian culture arose … with a strongly Mexican flavor to its arts. This culture transformed the east during the 1,000 year Temple Mound period.” (Source: Billard, The World of the American Indian, 64.)  These people also constructed large pyramidal hills, usually around a central plaza, with temples on the flat summits. Other similarities, such as depictions of ceremonies resembling Mexican sacrificial rites, are likewise present among the Mississippian culture.

Another excellent source concerning Mississippian warfare is Traditions of Dee-coo-dah, Pidgeon, William (1858) Traditions of Dee-Coo-Dah and Antiquarian Researches. Horace Thayer, New York . It may be read on line at http://eco.canadiana.ca/view/oocihm.56127/6?r=0&s=1
Keetoowah Council 1916 It is a matter of record oral history of the ancient Ami-Keetoowah (People of Keetoowah or or Ami-Keetoorah, Abraham’s third wife) depending on the Cherokee dialect) the spiritual core of the Cherokee Nation after the destruction of The Ami-Kutani, the ancient priesthood of the Hebrew/Cherokee people. According to Cherokee oral history, the Ami-Kutani were slain during a mass uprising by the non Hebrew/Cherokee people approximately 1000 years prior to European contact. This uprising was sparked by the fact that the Hebrew religion Ami-Kutani had become corrupt and the non Hebrew religion /Cherokees were not, because they won the battle of priest against priest as the word Cumorah means, even though The ancient structure of Cherokee Society and the Cherokee Clans were closely linked to the more ancient beliefs of the Ami-Kutani. See http://KeetoowahSociety.org

Orthodox Jews today will tell you that Abraham’s third wife Keturah (Keetoorah), and her sons, were sent away by Abraham after being especially blessed to become experts in herbalism and shamanism.

The Ami-Kutani and Ani-kutani are connected to the Longhair Clan, or Ani-Kilohi, or “keepers of the fire  priests” that existed in historic times and are still existence today. They are a clerical class and/or a hereditary clan. Exactly as the Hebrew word “Ami,” in Cherokee, “Aní-” is a prefix referring to a group of individuals, while the meaning of “Kutani” is”those who wear the garment of the guardians of the high knowledge of Yo hee waah ( God).” Just as the Cherokee have done for thousand of years, the Cherokee Nation of Mexico is offering non-Cherokees adoption into the Ani-Kilohi Clan.

Restored Ani-Kutani Priesthood Chief Priest Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers MD
at The Cherokee Priest House in Dripping Springs, Texas
Even though the majority of the Ami-Kutani priests were slain, their Medicine Society (priesthood) was promised to be restored from these embers of the survivors who sought refuge in the southern united states just as the (Melchizedek) Priesthood After The Order of The Son of God was restored. The Holy Bible KJV Acts 3:21 “Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”

The Hopi Prophecy states that all destroyed Medicine Societies and lost knowledge would be restored. The traditionalist Hopi Indians still secretly possess the self luminous stones described in The Book of Mormon that were given to them to provided illumination inside their sealed ocean vessel in their journey to the Americas when they were know as “the Jaredites.”

Cherokee oral history unequivocally states that the Cherokee migrated from “across the Eastern Ocean” to what is now “Mexico” and engaged in warfare with the Mississippians, and the two warring sides agreed to intermarry to stop that warfare. Modern Ethnologists such as Smithsonian Institution Ethnographer James Mooney in the 19th century and Dr Timothy W. Jones in he 20th century have verified this oral history.

Between 1849 and 1905 (Utah) English language edition of the Book of Mormon, the footnote to this “one mighty” reads, an “Indian prophet.” Later editions edited by Talmadge dropped this reference. The reference remained until 1920 in the Utah Spanish language edition.

In 1981 the chapter heading of 2nd Nephi Chapter 3 in the Utah edition of the Book of Mormon has erroneously stated that this Choice Seer was Joseph Smith Jr. That can not possibly be true. Joseph Smith was a pure Ephraimite of Scotch-English descent. Most of the early Church members were of Scottish, English, and Scandinavian descent. The blood of Ephraim was highly concentrated in these nations. See Joseph Smith’s pedigree at http://josephsmithpapers.org/back/joseph-smith-pedigree-chart

According to 2 Nephi 3, The Choice Seer’s lineage MUST come from the lineage of Lehi through his youngest son Joseph… and ALL of Lehi’s surviving descendants through his youngest son Joseph became what are known today as American Indians.

Other early Mormons, Heber C. Kimball in particular (Brigham Young called him “his prophet) prophesied of their most important future leader — The Choice Seer, “an Indian Prophet” that would be their “One Like Unto Moses” and would lead them out of bondage from an evil world system just prior to the return of the Messiah.

…there is a link to an actual photograph of the page (http://www.weepingforzion.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/From-1905-BoM-indian-prophet.jpg) from the 1849-1905 version of the Book of Mormon, footnoted by Orson Pratt, one of the churches original Apostles.

Joseph Fielding Smith (Then a member of the Quorum of the Twelve) wrote “President Young declares that Joseph Smith was a pure Ephraimite. This is true, Joseph Smith, father of the Prophet, received the birthright in Israel which he inherited through his fathers back to Ephraim and Joseph and Jacob to Abraham, For that reason the Patriarchal Priesthood was conferred upon him with the commandment that it should be handed down from father to son.”  (Doctrines of Salvation, 3:252-253)

He declared that; “It is the L. D. Saints who have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broke the everlasting covenant.” Joseph Fielding Smith (Deseret News, Church Section, Oct. 17, 1936)

Joseph Smith Jr., on 14 January 1833 Joseph Smith wrote the following letter to William W. Phelps concerning the saints in Zion. This letter contains several ominous forebodings which the prophet had concerning Zion, as well as several sober warnings to them of coming disaster if there is not sincere and total repentance.

Joseph Smith wrote: Kirtland, January 14, 1833.“Brother William W. Phelps:“I send you the ‘Olive Leaf’ which we have plucked from the tree of Paradise, the Lord’s message of peace to us; for though our brethren in Zion indulge in feelings towards us which are not according to the requirements of the new covenant, yet, we have the satisfaction of knowing that the Lord approves of us, and has accepted us, and established his name in Kirtland for the salvation of the nations; for the Lord will have a place whence his word will go forth, in these last days, in purity; for if Zion will not purify herself, so as to be approved of in all things, in his sight, he will seek another people; for his work will go on until Israel is gathered, and they who will not hear his voice, must expect to feel his wrath.

Joseph also taught that angels and personages could try to deceive us and said that we can know they are false if they ever contradict former revelation. “Many true things were spoken by this personage and many things that were false. How, it may be asked, was this known to be a bad angel? By his contradicting a former revelation.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 214.

Thus he tells us how we can tell “true” angels & Prophets from “false” ones, for they will never contradict former revelation.

Here is an excerpt from the 1845 “A Proclamation of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: To all the Kings of the world; to the President of the United States of America; To the Governors of the several states and to the Rulers and Peoples of all nations.”

“We testify that the foregoing doctrine is the doctrine or gospel of Jesus Christ, in its fullness; and that it is the only true, everlasting, and unchangeable gospel; and the only plan revealed on earth whereby man can be saved.””We also bear testimony that the “Indians” (so called) of North and South America are a remnant of the tribes of Israel , as is now made manifest by the discovery and revelation of their ancient oracles and records.”And that they are about to be fathered, civilized, and made one nation in this glorious land.”They will also come to the knowledge of their forefathers, and of the fullness of the gospel; and they will embrace it, and become a righteous branch of the house of Israel.”Source: http://www.utlm.org/onlineresources/proclamationoftwelve.htm

This position was affirmed in April of 1971 by [then] apostle Spencer W. Kimball at a Lamanite Youth Conference:

“You are of royal blood, the children of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and Lehi.””With pride I tell those who come to my office that a Lamanite is a descendant of one Lehi who left Jerusalem six hundred years before Christ and with his family crossed the mighty deep and landed in America. And Lehi and his family became the ancestors of all of the Indian and Mestizo tribes in North and South and Central America and in the islands of the sea, for in the middle of their history there were those who left America in ships of their making and went to the islands of the sea.”

Most faithful Latter-Day Saints regard official Church proclamations and declarations from apostles and prophets as scripture or revelation directly given from God to his chosen leaders.  Given that the proclamation and the statement by Elder Kimball clearly designate that the natives “of North and South America are a remnant of the tribes of Israel”, that said proclamation was endorsed by the standing Quorum of Twelve Apostles at the time of its publication, and that Elder Kimball’s remarks were later into a July 1971 Ensign article, “Of Royal Blood”, there should be little question in the minds of faithful Latter-Day Saints regarding the identity of the peoples of the Book of Mormon.

In the same Ensign issue noted above, Elder Kimball’s remarks are prefaced by “The Lamanites (Introduction)” which states the following:

“Most members of the Church know that the Lamanites, who consist of the Indians of all the Americas as well as the islanders of the Pacific, are a people with a special heritage. They are also a people with special problems in relation to contemporary society.” Source: https://www.lds.org/ensign/1971/07/of-royal-blood?lang=eng

Mosiah Lyman Hancock (April 9, 1834 – January 14, 1907) was an early member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and was son of general authority Levi W. Hancock and Clarissa Reed Hancock.

“In the summer of 1862, President Brigham Young came through Dixie.“ “He conversed freely on the situation of the Saints in the mountains, and said that he dreaded the time when the Saints would become popular with the world; for he had seen in sorrow, in a dream, or in dreams, this people clothed in the fashions of Babylon and drinking in the spirit of Babylon until one could hardly tell a Saint from a black-leg. And he felt like shouting, “To your tents, Oh Israel!” because it was the only thing that could keep the people pure. “I know that my families court the ways of the world too much,” said he, “And our hope lies in the Lamanites. I hope that you brethren who labor among the Indians will be kind to them. Remember that someday they will take their position as the rightful heir to the principles of life and salvation, for they never will give up the principles of this Gospel. Many of this people for the sake of riches and popularity, will sell themselves for that which will canker their souls and lead them down to misery and despair. It would be better for them to dwell in wigwams among the Indians than to dwell with the gentiles and miss the glories which God wishes them to obtain.” Source: Autobiography of Mosiah Hancock

President Brigham Young, speaking of the conversions of the Lamanites, said: “Look to see them like a flame of fire, a mighty rushing torrent, like the grand march of angels.” (Young Woman’s Journal, May 1890, p. 263.)  He didn’t realize that when the time came, just as it happened in The Book of Mormon, that Lamanites would be needed to convert Book of Mormon people back to the Gospel after they had drifted away from its teachings.

Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers between 2001 and 2004. In 2004, Chief Rogers officiated in a Peace Pipe Ceremony for the President of Mexico, and the governors of several Mexican States. The ceremonial pipe is lit with a glowing ember taken directly from a fire.

Hidalgo, Coahuila, Mexico, (Notimex) . In a demonstration of regional unity the fourth annual Cavalcade began this morning, in attendance were the governors of Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, and Sonora.

The cavalcade began then that the trustees Tomas Yarrington, Natividad González Parás Enrique Martinez, and Eduardo Bours Castello, smoked the pipe of peace with the Chief of the Cherokee Nation of Mexico, Charles L. Rogers MD and with the blessing of the bishop of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Alonso Treviño Garza.

The Coahuila Governor Enrique Martinez in his message to the “cabalgantes,” some eight thousand horsemen, they were told that on this occasion the governors were to sign, in the afternoon in the presence of the President Viciente Fox Quesada, an agreement on regional development.

He indicated that this agreement proposes more harmonious development, safety and fairness for this region, which I believe will result in greater productivity of the country.

Martinez stated that this ride is intended to give an example to Mexico that despite our differences, we can develop the most important things – with persistence our goals can be achieved when there is a will to do so.

The 8000 horseback riders departed from the Unidad Deportiva and Márquez and heading to the rancho Don Vidal in its first stage.

President John Taylor John Taylor expressed this thought: “The same organization of priesthood, must be introduced and maintained among the house of Lehi as amongst those of Israel gathered from among the gentile nations.” (Letter to A. Carrington, Liverpool, Oct. 18, 1882.)

President Wilford Woodruff penetrated the future and revealed, “Zion is bound to rise and flourish. The Lamanites will blossom as the rose on the mountains. . . . Every word that God has ever said of them will have its fulfillment, and they, by and by, will receive the Gospel. It will be a day of God’s power among them, and a nation will be born in a day.” (Journal of Discourses, 15:282.)

the San Andrés Accords is the way in which they require a reconfiguring of the relationship between the Mexican government and indigenous peoples. The heart of the national proposal for recognizing indigenous autonomy in Mexico is based on a tripartite cultural-political model that brings together multiple indigenous pueblos (which may be small numbers of people in a few hamlets, a municipio, or a region who share an ethnic identity and history), the Mexican nation as a multi-ethnic and diverse entity (la nación), and the state (el estado), as a political and legal framework. The glue holding this three-part model together is indigenous Mexican nationalism. This nationalist vision builds a common identity around being Mexican and indigenous but within a multi-ethnic state. In this model, the national political boundaries of Mexico should defend an internal plurality of cultural boundaries — not through assimilation, but through granting self-defined cultural entities autonomy in regional and local economic, political, and social decision-making. Thus the pueblos indigenas are autonomous within the Mexican state and with a shared sense of participation and inclusion in the Mexican nation – See more at: http://www.culturalsurvival.org/ourpublications/csq/article/indigenous-rights-and-self-determination-mexico#sthash.U57FIrbx.dpuf

The Cherokee Nation of Mexico existed from the 1700s in Mexico, but just as the United States was “born in a day” when recognized by The Treaty of Paris in 1783, acknowledging the United States (viz. the Colonies) to be free, sovereign and independent states.

The Cherokee Nation of Mexico as an Indian Nation was “born in a day” in August of 2001 when it was the very first Indian Nation politically recognized by the Republic of Mexico under The San Andres Accords after the Mexican Congress passed the “indigenous law” that allowed the 32 Independent and Autonomous Mexican states the choice about whether or not to recognize indigenous autonomy. This law was later ratified by the required number of Mexican States and became part of the Mexican Constitution in 2008.

The United Mexican States (Spanish: Estados Unidos Mexicanos) is a federal republic composed of 32 federal entities: 31 states and 1 federal district.
According to the Constitution of 1917, the states of the federation are free and sovereign. Each state has its own congress and constitution, while the Federal District has only limited autonomy with a local Congress and government. The territory of the Federal District, commonly known and referred to as Mexico City, serves as the national capital.

The San Andrés Accords is the way Mexico is reconfiguring the relationship between the Mexican government and indigenous peoples. In 1831, the Kansas territory west of The State of Missouri was “Indian Territory.” The closest Indian Tribe was a band of Lenape (Delawares) led by Chief William Anderson. This band migrated to what is now Oklahoma and eventually became part of The Cherokee Nation under the United Cherokee Nation Constitution of 1839. Joseph Smith sent emmisaries to carry the Book of Mormon to this band of Lenape, but was later legally barred by the federal government from doing so.

Mormons and Indians: Jews or Gentiles?

On July 20, 1831, Joseph Smith presented a revelation in which God clearly defined who were “gentiles” are who were “jews.”

“[T]he land of Missouri … is the land which I have appointed and consecrated for the gathering of the saints: wherefore this is the land of promise, and the place for the city of Zion. … Behold the place which is now called Independence is the center place, and the a spot for the temple is lying westward upon a lot which is not far from the court house: wherefore it is wisdom that the land should be purchased by the saints; and also every tract lying westward, even unto the line [the Missouri-Kansas border] running directly between Jew [Native Americans] and Gentile. And also every tract bordering by the prairies, inasmuch as my disciples are enabled to buy lands. Behold this is wisdom, that they may obtain it for an everlasting inheritance.

(Doctrine & Covenants: Section 27)
Contrary to the beliefs that the Latter Day Saints are not “Gentiles,” here is what Joseph Smith taught: Gentiles are those who were not members of the House of Israel. (Source: Book of Mormon, 1830 ed., i, 22–23 [1 Nephi 10:11–14]. More specifically, members of the church identified gentiles as those whose lineage was not of the Jews or Lamanites, understood to be the American Indians in Joseph Smith’s day. (Source: Book of Mormon, 1830 ed., “Israel Will Be Gathered,” The Evening and the Morning Star, June 1833, 101; Revelation, Sept. 1830–B [D&C 28:8–9, 14]. Certain prophecies indicated that the gospel would be brought “first unto the Gentiles, and secondly unto the Jews.” (Source: Instruction on Priesthood, ca. Apr. 1835, in Doctrine and Covenants 3:12, 1835 ed. [D&C 107:33].) The Book of Mormon prophesied that the gentiles would restore the gospel to the earth and “be numbered among my people” if they would repent and be baptized. (Source:Book of Mormon, 1830 ed., 499 [3 Nephi 21:5–6]; see also Letter to the Church in Colesville, 2 Dec. 1830, pp. 204–205.) In 1836, Joseph Smith indicated that members of the church were “identified with the Gentiles.” (Source: Prayer, 27 Mar. 1836, in Prayer, at the Dedication of the Lord’s House, 2 [D&C 109].)

Verse 10-13: “At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel [not IF but when, followed by the description of the Latter Day Saints today] and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and secret abominations  I will bring the fullness of my gospel from among them. And then will I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel and I will bring my gospel unto them. And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fullness of my gospel. But if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel. And I will not suffer my people, who are of the house of Israel,  to go through among them, and tread them down.”

Above is a perfect description of the United States system of “Babylon” (Worldwide economic system) which the Latter Day Saints  become part of  between 1877 and 1890. Jesus Christ visited the  Walker Lake Indian Reservation in 1889-1890. Joseph Smith prophesied in Doctrine & Covenants 130: 14-17: “I was once praying very earnestly to know the time of the coming of the Son of Man, when I heard a voice repeat the following: Joseph, my son, if thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; therefore let this suffice, and trouble me no more on this matter. I was left thus, without being able to decide whether this coming referred to the beginning of the millennium or to some previous appearing, or whether I should die and thus see his face. I believe the coming of the Son of Man will not be any sooner than that time.”

This next prophecy has long been spoken of in the LDS Church, and Mormons have feared Indians would someday fulfill the prophecy of 3rd Nephi 16:11-14
12 And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fulness of my gospel.
13 But if the Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.
14 And I will not suffer my people, who are of the house of Israel, to go through among them, and tread them down, saith the Father.
15 But if they will not turn unto me, and hearken unto my voice, I will suffer them, yea, I will suffer my people, O house of Israel, that they shall go through among them, and shall tread them down, and they shall be as salt that hath lost its savor, which is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of my people, O house of Israel.

Remnants of the Northern Kingdom of Israel which left Israel 2734 years ago, (as of September 2013) such as the Pashtun and other tribesmen in Afghanistan, long ago converted to Islam and some are terrorizing Europe, Africa, and the mainland of the United States.

But recent event show us this prophecy is being fulfilled by other scattered remnants of The House of Israel.

“Evidence of ancient Jewish settlement has been found in Herat, close to Afghanistan’s border with Iran, where a graveyard contains tombs inscribed in Hebrew. The Afghan capital Kabul also has a centuries-old synagogue which has long been abandoned.

Navras Aafreedi, a leading researcher on the Lost Tribes of Israel, said the DNA investigation could have major modern repercussions.

“It could be seen as scientific validation of traditional belief about the Israelite origin of [Pashtuns] and can have interesting ramifications for Muslim-Jew relations in particular and the world at large,” he said. (Source)

Afghani Pashtun Jewish roots

This appeared in the Vayishlach edition of the Ohr Sameyach “OhrNet”. Most interesting the Pashtun is Pathan/Pithan and now we have a direct name connection the King Shaul’s grandson. May HaShem protect them from “well-meaning” Americans.

Rabbi David Baron

“As for the Afghani people, yes, there is fascinating evidence that some of them, most notably the Pathani tribesmen, may have roots going back to the Ten Lost Tribes.

“First of all, many Afghani people claim this to be so. Rabbi Avraham Hacohen, president of the Jewish community in the Afghan city of Harath, testified that he heard former Afghani king Habib Allah Han proclaim, “I am from the tribe of Benjamin.” In similar testimony, an immigrant to Israel recalls his childhood memory of King Habib Allah’s horseback tour of Harath: “The Jewish dignitaries of the city gathered, among them my father. My father coerced me to join in greeting the king. The King asked the Jews, ‘What tribe are you from?’ ‘We have no tradition regarding that, so we don’t know, O King,’ answered the head of the delegation. ‘Well, we do know,’ said the king. ‘We, the Mahmad Zei family, are all descendants of the tribe of Benjamin from the seed of King Saul, from the sons of Yonatan Afghan and Pithon.’”

“Many Pathani village elders claim this as well. They are ‘the seed of Israel,’ descended, they say, from Pithon of the tribe of Benjamin. Pithon, a great-grandson of King Saul, is mentioned among a list of hundreds of names chronicling the descendants of the Twelve Tribes (Chronicles I 8:35). Nothing more is said of him. Other names of Afghani tribes resemble those of some of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel: Rebbani (Reuben); Levoni (*Levi); Ephriti (Ephraim); Yusuf Si means Sons of Yosef (Joseph). The Ghaghi tribesmen claim their name is from Gad. Jewish names such as ‘Israel,’ not so typical in the radically fundamental Islamic state of Afghanistan, are found among many Pathani. Jewish names have been seen on tombstones in far-flung graveyards around the country. As for Jewish customs, the Pathani are quite strict about not shaving their sidelocks (peot), which is in accordance with the Torah command, ‘Don’t shave the sides of your head’ (Leviticus 19).

“Their day of rest is Saturday, and Friday towards evening they light candles, which some then cover with a basket (originally to hide their Jewishness?). They wear a four-cornered garment, to which some of them attach fringes on the corners. Some pray facing Jerusalem, and the Star of David symbol is prevalent in almost every Pathani home! The great Torah Sage ‘Tiferet Yisrael’ wrote regarding the Ten Tribes: ‘Many of the remaining became assimilated amongst the non-Jews*.’

“Regarding them is the dispute between the Talmudic Sages Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Eliezar, regarding whether in the future those who remain but are assimilated will eventually be brought back to the true faith in G-d*. For, although many of them are actual idol worshipers and their identity as ‘Israel’ is forgotten, and the few Jewish practices they have are merely traditions handed down from their fathers, such as the people of Afghanistan, regarding whom many geographers consider to be forgotten Jews*. (Tiferet Yisrael, Perek Chelek) In sum, there is interesting evidence that some Afghani may have Jewish roots. (http://www.kulanu.org/pathan/)

Hebrew Cherokee Genetic and Linguitic Connections

Kulanu in Hebrew means “all of us. “Kalanu” is the Cherokee word for Raven or “Speaker of the Nation” (all of us) and was the name given to Cherokee adoptee Sam Houston and the title held by my ancestor Savanukah, the Raven of Chota, who was Keeper of the Sacred Cherokee Ark and became First Beloved Man of The Cherokee Nation. “First Beloved Man” was the title under the ancient Cherokee theocracy that preceded “Principal Chief” when the Cherokee adopted a Republican form of government. For much more information and proof of the Cherokee Hebrew connection, see http://AmericanCherokeeAssociation.com

I assure you, though other branches of the House of Israel may be attacking you because of aberrations in their adopted Islamic beliefs, Mormons have absolutely nothing to fear from American Indians, who (excepting a few racist Indians today) have been converted by teachings of White Buffalo Calf Woman who long ago visited the Sioux Indians with her message of peace, and also by the teachings of The Peacemaker who visited the Six Nation Iroquois about 900 years ago. Europeans and Indians never would have come to blows had Europeans known how to keep promises and to be honorable. Even though since 1492 an estimated 50 million Native American Indians have been slaughtered by thousands of greedy Europeans (including Mormons), Arvol Looking Horse, 18th generation holder of the White Buffalo Calf Woman Pipe says now is the time to grow together in peace.

Black Elk Speaks is a 1932 book by John G. Neihardt, an American poet and writer, who relates the story and spirituality of Black Elk, an Oglala Sioux medicine man. Black Elk intones the word Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya to invoke deity. Anciently, the word “Eh-hey-yah” was the only Name of God common Hebrews were allowed to use to invoke Deity.

A Song from Black Elk
And you, Mother Earth, the only Mother, you who have shown mercy to your children! Hear me, four quarters of the world – a relative I am! Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is! Give me the eyes to see and the strength to understand, that I may be like you. With your power only can I face the winds.
Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya!
Black Elk Speaks, John G. Neihardt, Lincoln: Univ. of Nebraska Press, 1979

Principal Chief Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers is addressing you today… and he has a proposition that, if accepted, will be the physical and spiritual salvation of yourselves and your descendants.

Here Is Why We Make Such Bold Claims to Covenant and Priesthood:
In 1889 and 1890, newspaper accounts from military telegraph messages in the Boston Globe spoke of a gathering of thousands of Indians in Nevada from as far north as Alaska, and as far south as Tierra Del Fuego… all had been summoned there by dreams and visions to the Walker Lake Indian Reservation where they were taught by a Paiute Indian prophet named Wovoka, known as Jack Wilson to his white neighbors.

During the nationwide excitement caused by the accounts of Jesus visit to Walker Lake Nevada Indian Reservation in the Boston Globe, one of Joseph’s plural wives, one of the Partridge sisters, who had followed Brigham Young to Utah, wrote letters to the Salt Lake City newspapers trying to point out that Joseph’s 1890 prophecy had been fulfilled. A debate occurred in Utah concerning “the Lamanites,” but the church concluded nothing much of significance had occurred. Some people simply concluded that some Mormons had simply masquerading as Jesus to gain converts. In the wake of all the excitement of what was mislabeled “The Ghost Dance,” the Massacre at Wounded Knee occurred less than a week after Joseph Smith Jr. would have turned 85 years old in late December of 1890. Chief Bigfoot photographed in death by the US 7th Cavalry after the Massacre at Wounded Knee less than a week after Joseph Smith’s 85th birthday

Wovoka, Short Bull, and Porcupine contended up until their deaths that Jesus Christ had visited them there in Nevada, had ordained them as Apostles, and had taught them a certain way to dance. The archives of The Boston Globe says (from telegraphed accounts) that Jesus arrived sitting in an orange colored donut shaped flying craft, and when he stood up in the craft, steps down to the ground magically appeared. The new apostles testified that once they had shaken hands with Jesus, they could at will speak with Jesus in their sleep.

Jesus gave the assemblage a dance, which He called “The Dance of Welcome and Friendship,” and told them to dance for the resurrection of their dead family and ancestors… and to dance for peace with the whites. He told them to become cleaner, and not to fight amongst themselves or kill the whites no matter what. Indian emissaries were sent out to all tribes in all direction with these specific messages.

Andy Vidovitch, a direct descendant of Wovoka, was a member of the cast and crew of the blockbuster motion picture Billy Jack in 1975. He taught the Dance of Welcome and Friendship exactly as Wovoka taught it to him, and it was filmed, and is available on YouTube

The Dance of Welcome and Friendship, is the ordnance revealed by Jesus that would integrate Europeans with American Indians. Indian messengers were sent to all tribes in North America resulting in the dance being performed nationwide. Sadly, the dance is known today as “The Ghost Dance” because the strict instructions given by Jesus were altered by the Sioux because of their anger against encroaching whites, resulting in the Massacre At Wounded Knee five days after Joseph Smith’s 85th birthday.

Here is the Pauite Prophet Wovoka’s account of Jesus’ instructions:

“All Indians must dance, everywhere, keep on dancing. Pretty soon in next spring Big Man [Jesus] come. He bring back all game of every kind. The game be thick everywhere. All dead Indians come back and live again. They all be strong just like young man, be young again. Old blind Indian see again and get young and have fine time. When Old Man [Jesus] comes this way, then all Indians go to mountains, high up away from whites. Whites can’t hurt Indians then. Then while Indians way high up, big flood comes like water and all white people die, get drowned. After that water go way and then nobody but Indians everywhere and game all kinds thick.”

Wovoka was also know as “Jack Wilson” When you get home you must make a dance to continue five days. Dance four successive nights, and the last night keep up the dance until the morning of the fifth day, when all must bathe in the river and then disperse to their homes. You must all do in the same way.I, Jack Wilson, love you all, and my heart is full of gladness for the gifts you have brought me. When you get home I shall give you a good cloud [rain?] which will make you feel good. I give you a good spirit and give you all good paint. I want you to come again in three months, some from each tribe there [the Indian Territory].

[Wovoca then gives a prophecy given to him by Jesus] “There will be a good deal of snow this year and some rain. In the fall there will be such a rain as I have never given you before.”

“Grandfather [a universal title of reverence among Indians and here meaning Jesus] says, when your friends die you must not cry. You must not hurt anybody or do harm to anyone. You must not fight. Do right always. It will give you satisfaction in life. This young man has a good father and mother.” (referring to Casper Edson, the young Arapaho who wrote down this message of Wovoka for the delegation.)

Wovoka continued:

Do not tell the white people about this. Jesus is now upon the earth. He appears like a cloud. The dead are still alive again. I do not know when they will be here; maybe this fall or in the spring. When the time comes there will be no more sickness and everyone will be young again.

Do not refuse to work for the whites and do not make any trouble with them until you leave them. When the earth shakes [at the coming of the new world] do not be afraid. It will not hurt you. I want you to dance every six weeks. Make a feast at the dance and have food that everybody may eat. Then bathe in the water. That is all. You will receive good words again from me some time. Do not tell lies.

Porcupine’s account of seeing Jesus:
The place was perfectly cleared of grass….We waited until late in the evening, anxious to see Christ. Just before sundown I saw a great many people, mostly Indians [some of the local whites including some “Mormons” joined in the Ghost Dance], coming dressed in white men’s clothes. The Christ was with them….I looked around to find him, and finally saw him sitting at one side of the ring….They made a big fire to throw light on him. I never looked around, but went forward, and when I saw him I bent my head. I had always thought the Great Father was a white man, but this man looked like an Indian.

Porcupine continues: “He (Jesus) sat there a long time and nobody went up to speak to him. He sat with his head bowed all the time. After awhile he rose and said he was very glad to see his children. “I have sent for you and am glad to see you. I am going to talk to you after awhile about your relatives who are dead and gone. I will teach you, too, how to dance a dance, and I want you to dance it.” He was dressed in a white coat with stripes. The rest of his dress was a white man’s except that he had on a pair of moccasins. Then he commenced our dance, everybody joining in, the Christ singing while we danced. The next morning when we went to eat breakfast, the Christ was with us. He said, “I am the man who made everything you see around you. I am not lying to you, my children. I made this earth and everything on it. I have been to heaven and seen your dead friends and have seen my own father and mother.” He told us also that all our dead were to be resurrected; that they were all to come back to earth. He spoke to us about fighting, and said that it was bad, and we must keep from it; that the earth was to be all good hereafter, and we must all be friends with one another. He said that in the fall of the year (the beginning of the Hebrew, Mayan and Cherokee calendars) the youth of all the good people would be renewed, so that nobody would be more than 40 years old. He said if we were all good he would send people among us who could heal all our wounds and sickness by mere touch, and that we would live forever. He told us not to quarrel, or fight, nor strike each other, nor shoot one another; that the whites and Indians were to be all one people.”
Porcupine told how he heard at Pyramid Lake that Christ was coming and that “eleven of his children were also coming from a far land, “a possible reference to the disciples. With delegates representing 15 or 16 tribes he went to Walker Lake. He was told Christ would be there in two days. A great crowd gathered, and the Messiah explained the Ghost Dance. “He was not so dark as an Indian nor so light as a white man,” the account states. “I had heard that Christ had been crucified, and I looked to see, and I saw a scar on his wrist, and one on his face, and he seemed to be the man. I could not see his feet. He would talk to us all day.” Source: James Mooney, The Ghost-Dance Religion and the Sioux Outbreak of 1890, Fourteenth Annual Report, part 7. Bureau of American Ethnology (Washington, D.C., 1896), pp.641-1110; quotation from PP. 777-87.

In 1986, Ezra Taft Benson, in his inaugural address as President, Prophet, Seer and Revelator to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints stated,”In 1829, the Lord warned the Saints that they are not to trifle with sacred things (see D&C 6:12). Surely the Book of Mormon is a sacred thing, and yet many trifle with it, or in other words, take it lightly, treat it as though it is of little importance.
“In 1832, as some early missionaries returned from their fields of labor, the Lord reproved them for treating the Book of Mormon lightly. As a result of that attitude, he said, their minds had been darkened. Not only had treating this sacred book lightly brought a loss of light to themselves, it had also brought the whole Church under condemnation, even all the children of Zion. And then the Lord said, “And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon” (D&C 84:54–57).

President Benson went on to say: “Has the fact that we have had the Book of Mormon with us for over a century and a half made it seem less significant to us today? Do we remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon? In the Bible we have the Old Testament and the New Testament. The word testament is the English rendering of a Greek word that can also be translated as covenant. Is this what the Lord meant when He called the Book of Mormon the “new covenant”? It is indeed another testament or witness of Jesus. This is one of the reasons why we have recently added the words “Another Testament of Jesus Christ” to the title of the Book of Mormon.
“If the early Saints were rebuked for treating the Book of Mormon lightly, are we under any less condemnation if we do the same? The Lord Himself bears testimony that it is of eternal significance. Can a small number of us bring the whole Church under condemnation because we trifle with sacred things? What will we say at the Judgment when we stand before Him and meet His probing gaze if we are among those described as forgetting the new covenant?
“In the Doctrine and Covenants, section 84, verses 54 to 58, we read:
“And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received—

“Which vanity and unbelief have brought the whole church under condemnation.

“And this condemnation resteth upon the children of Zion, even all.

“And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them, not only to say, but to do according to that which I have written—

“That they may bring forth fruit meet for their Father’s kingdom; otherwise there remaineth a scourge and judgment to be poured out upon the children of Zion.”  [D&C 84:54–58]

So, in 1986, President Ezra Taft Benson pointed out that the church had departed from The Book of Mormon in 1829, and were under condemnation since 1832, and if they did not repent, they would be “scourged” which according to Merriam Webster: (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/scourged)

1: whip; especially : one used to inflict pain or punishment 2: an instrument of punishment or criticism 3: a cause of wide or great affliction

Synonyms: destroy, devastate, ruin, ravageThe Flooding Predicted in ProphecyAt the top of this document, I quoted the date of the original publication in the Hebrew calendar, which is based on the cycle of the planet Venus… the even and morning star. Jews, Cherokees, Mayans and Aztecs all use the same calendar system.
“There shall be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars.” – Jesus Christ, Luke 21:25 Torah observant Jews look very seriously at the beginning and end dates of the lives of humans. Every person has a Hebrew birth date, which will fall on a different day each year during the Gregorian Calendar currently in use by the world system. A person’s Hebrew birth date fixes a portion of the Torah which gives him or her insight into their life’s mission or purpose. The same is true of a person’s Mayan Birth date. The Mayan Calendar can provide a surprising amount of insight into a person’s personality, strengths and weaknesses. So, it was no surprise to me when I looked up the “birth day”of this document, and discovered that it corresponded with the account of The Great Flood in Genesis. Every indigenous nation has an account of a universal deluge in the past.
Genesis 9:11 :
And I will establish My covenant with you, and never again will all flesh be cut off by the flood waters, and there will never again be a flood to destroy the earth.”(Source) Though God promised he would never again destroy ALL life using floodwaters, he has used flooding to discipline errant nations and rulers, just as He did against Pharaoh’s army in pursuit of Moses and the Israelites and the mixed multitude as they went out of Egypt in Exodus.

Pope John Paul II’s mother was a Jew, and was accepted by Torah Observant Jews and as Jew. He ordered missionizing of Jews ceased and recognizing that they had a valid covenant with God. The Third secret of Fatima was never officially published by the Roman Catholic Church, but in 1981 while in Germany, when pressed by some of the most faithful of his flock one one billion,  Pope John Paul II revealed the secret, which was recorded in Stimme des Glaubens magazine. (Source)
He stated:
Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as not to encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves. “On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired.” Archbishop Ratzinger (Now emeritus Pope Benedict) agreed with Pope John Paul II at that time. Like the Hopi, the Catholic mystics predicted a certain “star” would be the cause.
David Monongye, Keeper of The Hopi Prophecy I was introduced to Thomas Banyacya by Zula Brinkerhoff, (December 17, 1914, to April 8, 2002) Mormon author of God’s Chosen People In America. Zula was a former personal secretary to the Governor of Utah, and was an official spokesman for the Traditional Hopi from the late 1950s until shortly befoere her passing. She was the adopted daughter David Monongye, Keeper of The Hopi Prophecy. I met with Thomas and his family on Christmas eve of 1992. During the federal government seige of Wounded Knee in 1975, she braved Dickie Wilson’s G.O.O.N. (Guardians of The Oglala Nation) Squad roadblocks (and had her headlights and windows smashed) five times to take relief supplies to the Indians inside the federal cordon of US Marshals.

The Hopi Prophecy of Blue Star and Red Star Katchinas The Hopi Prophecy says that the Hopi reservation will be flooded up near the tops of their mesas and they would need boats to move to Four Corners to start a new tribe and religion.
Thomas Banyacya was one of four Hopi spiritual leaders selected by traditional Elders in 1948 to carry Hopi prophecies to the world. A half-century later, as the sole remaining Hopi messenger, Banyacya joined nine other indigenous people to speak before the United Nations General Assembly to warn them that their prophecies indicated that civilization was about to be subjected to abrupt and extreme changes from nature and the planet. It is worth recalling his message.

“Hopi in our language means a peaceful, kind, gentle, and truthful people. We made a sacred covenant which includes the responsibility of taking care of this land and life for (Masawa, the Great Spirit’s) purpose. Our goal is to pray and promote the welfare of all living beings and to preserve the world in a natural way.”

The Hopi leader said the prophecies indicate the world is in its “final days.” He demanded that an investigation be made to stop the destruction of native peoples’ lives and homelands. He warned against ruining nature and desecrating sacred sites. Banyacya emphasized that the Hopi center, in the Four Corners area of the Southwest US, is a Sacred site which has a special purpose for humankind’s future survival. It should be left in its natural state, he stated. “It should be the mission of your nations and this Assembly to use your power and rules to examine and cure the damage people have done to this earth and to each other,” Banyacya exhorted the Assembly. “It is up to all of us as children of Mother Earth to clean up this mess before it’s too late.”

In his address, Banyacya invoked the Hopi prophecies about the consequences of living out of balance with nature and spirit. Floods, earthquakes, extinction of animals and birds, climate changes, hail storms, and many damaging hurricanes, he said, are the loud voices of his ancestors’ warnings. Most public adjusters would even probably tell you that a mixture of those things at once would probably be a cause for concern. The evening of the native speakers’ appearance at the UN, heavy rain, strong winds, and the worst floods in New York’s memory assailed the New York City area. Major highways were closed, and the UN building’s lower subfloors flooded, forcing a shutdown of its heating and air conditioning.

Native people attending the General Assembly considered these events more than coincidental. Thomas Banyacya called on all the participants, including UN officials, to form a great circle in a symbolic act of prayer. One participant claimed she had never felt herself to be in such a safe place. Others noted that no further storm damage occurred in Manhattan after the circle gathered.

In 1996, the Hopi Elders made the following announcement:

“While we can still see the twins, the comet up there with the two tails (Hale-Bopp)..

…in the sky we will still have time to change our patterns, and change our ways. When we no longer see it in the sky it will be the sign that we have very little time left… perhaps 18 months or less before the purifier returns. The purifier will appear, as the Red Katchina, maybe that means it will appear red in the telescopes that the scientists use. It will remain almost in one place for a long time. Like and eye watching us.

I released the following press release on May 20, 2003. (Source)

“Recently a new Red Star was discovered WHILE a Blue Comet is already in the sky, 7 years after comet Hale-Bopp disappeared from eyeball view. It could however, be seen through telescopes for a while thereafter… so we can debate what exactly the Hopi elders meant by “disappear.”

CONSIDER:   Acts 2:20 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord comes:”

May 31, 2003 In fulfillment of prophecy, the sun appeared over the middle east and Europe as a “sackcloth of ashes” and “refused to give her light” in a rare “annular” or “ring of fire” eclipse.”

The elders have let it be known that the “Red Katchina” comet will be here in 7 years from the conclusion of Hale-Bopp’s appearance. The comet was discovered in 1995 and seen by millions of people in 1996:
The Hopi elder said: “Seven years after the appearance would have concluded itself the new cycle will begin
Before the last few traditional Hopi elders passed away very recently, they let it be known that “purification day” would follow soon on the heels of their passing into the spirit world.

The “appearance” (to the unaided eye) of Hale Bopp concluded in the Northern Hemisphere in early May 1997, but continued to be seen in the southern hemisphere for at LEAST another 3 years.

“During the first week of May 1997 the comet disappeared in the morning twilight for Europe. At this writing, July 2000, the comet is still being observed as a fourteenth magnitude fuzzy patch in the southern skies.” (Source)

You may find it interesting to note that right after the end of the 7th year period since Hale-Bopp’s disappearance from the Northern Hemisphere in 1996 (add 7 years would be the first week of May 2003), the beginning of that 8th year witnessed the largest appearance of tornados in the history of tornado monitoring by meteorologists!
Then, two weeks later, on about May 19-20, 2003, A NEW RED DWARF STAR WAS DISCOVERED WHILE A BLUE COMET, COMET NEAT, WAS ALSO SEEN IN THE SKY! See below for details…
A NEW RED STAR IS DISCOVERED WHILE A BLUE COMET,  THE BRIGHTEST EVER SEEN, IS IN THE SKY!
Remember what the elder said:
The purifier will appear, as the Red Kachina, maybe that means it will appear red in the telescopes that the scientists use. It will remain almost in one place for a long time. Like and eye watching us. That is when Saquasohuh, the one that is called the Blue Star Kachina will also return. Saquasohuh is benevolent, but the others will not be so. When the others come there will begin the war in the heavens as we have been told.” Hopi Elder, February, 1997

Mayan Prophecies
Concerning Mayan predictions, according to The Mayan Elders I have interviewed, the 2012 warning date may vary 15 years either way. A picture of the last page of the actual Dresden Codex (from the 1880 Förstermann edition) suggests to some that the world as we know it will end in a flood… and a new world will begin after the waters recede and the calendar refreshes itself.
Jesus Christ stated that the Last Days it will be as it was “in the Days of Noah.” Remember, Noah warned people of The Deluge, but NO ONE listened.

As you read above, Jesus told the Indians at Walker Lake that the Salt Lake Valley would someday be flooded, and that worthy Indians  (and the European white people who had joined with them in friendship) would receive forewarnings and were to go up into the mountains. This is the same counsel the Hopi Elders have been giving for many years… get up in the mountains and forest.
The Holy Bible speaks of The Abomination of Desolation in both the Old and New Testaments.
Book of Matthew, Chapter 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Before temples were built, humans went up into the mountains, Holy Places, to receive communications with God.

The prophet Daniel stated in Chapter 9, verse 26 (from the original Hebrew Old Testament) “And after the sixty-two weeks, the anointed one will be cut off, and he will be no more, and the people of the coming monarch will destroy the city and the Sanctuary, and his end will come about by inundation, and until the end of the war, it will be cut off into desolation.”

Compare the original Hebrew above with the King James version: “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”

I “saw” this flooding in night vision back in 1991, and so did (also in 1991) by a well known Texas Cherokee elder who wishes to remain nameless. He and I didn’t realize the coincidence of the year 1991 until we exchanged notes during the winter of 2009-10 when I was at his home in East Texas.

In 2004, an LDS Cherokee descendant, Marguerite Gaspard Jordan a/k/a “Sha Ha Win,” the daughter of the world famous Paint Clan Cherokee medicine man John “Rolling Thunder” Pope,  saw in a night vision the future flooding in Tennessee. She told the bishop (Pastor) of her ward (congregation) about her vision. Her bishop became very concerned, and during the next Area Conference, she was interviewed by over thirty LDS Regional authorities. She was later flown to Salt Lake City and was interviewed by 36 LDS General Authorities including Gordon B. Hinckley, but she was promptly ignored… simply because of her gender.  Marguerite believes LDS women should be ordained and have equality in church goverment just as Joseph Smith taught shorthly before his assassination. Brigham Young was away on a mission to England when Joseph taught this and heard about Joseph’s death as he stepped off a steamship on his return to America. In 1972, LDS General authorities refused to meet with and hear the grievances of American Indians regerding the mining of Black Mesa which was controlled by Mormon business interests. Rolling Thunder resorted to airing their grievances on local talk radio, excoriating the LDS leadership. Remembering that 1972 visit of Rolling Thunder and Mad Bear Anderson to Utah, Gordon B. Hinckley commented to Marguerite Gaspard Jordan “You sound just like Rolling Thunder.” At that time, Marguerite did not know that her father was Rolling Thunder, but later learned that fact from her mother. Though Rolling Thunder never revealed to his children in Carlin Nevada that Marguerite was indeed their half sister, her half brothers and sisters just recently have begun to recognize that they shared certain memorable experiences as children.

Marguerite Gaspard Jordan How could the leadership of the Latter Day Saint’s Church possibly have forgotten that  Miriam and Deborah were prophetesses? (Ex. 15:20; Judges. 4:4) The May 2010 Tennessee floods predicted by Marguerite Gaspard Jordan were 1000-year (source) floods in Middle Tennessee, West Tennessee, south-central and western Kentucky and northern Mississippi areas of the United States of America as the result of torrential rains on May 1 and 2, 2010. Floods from these rains affected the area for several days afterwards, resulting in a number of deaths and widespread property damage. 20 people were confirmed dead as a result of the flood.

In Amos 3:7, the prophet Amos stated this (translated by Hebrew scholars from the original Hebrew)  ‘For the Lord God does nothing unless He has revealed His secret to His servants, the prophets.

2nd Corinthians 13:1 states “This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” In the Old Testament law God said that if anyone was guilty of breaking the law they were to be tried in a legal court.  The requirement was that the prosecution must provide 2 or 3 witnesses to the offense and that these witnesses must all agree.  It is a concept that can be found in our modern courts today.   If you read the Law in the Old Testament you will find this principle given to us.  For example, in Numbers 35:30, it speaks of the trial of a murderer and God requires more than one witness to put him to death.  This is just a common sense approach that means one person can’t get mad at another, accuse him of murder and then he is put to death when he never did it.  If there is only one witness, then it is essentially one man’s word against another.  This law is repeated in Deuteronomy 17:6 that further states the need for 2 or 3 confirming witnesses for anybody to be put to death.

Many modern prophets have seen the future flooding of large portions of America, including Edgar Caye, Lori Adele Toye, Aron Abrahamsen, and Delores Cannon.

Deborah (Hebrew: דְבוֹרָה, Modern Dvora Tiberian Dəḇôrā ; “Bee”, Arabic: دبورة Daborah‎) was a prophetess of the God of the Israelites, the fourth Judge of pre-monarchic Israel, counselor, warrior, and the wife of Lapidoth according to the Book of Judges chapters 4 and 5.

The only female judge mentioned in the Bible, Deborah led a successful counterattack against the forces of Jabin king of Canaan and his military commander Sisera, the narrative is recounted in chapter 4.

Judges chapter 5 gives the same story in poetic form. This passage, often called The Song of Deborah, may date to as early as the 12th century BC[1] and is perhaps the earliest sample of Hebrew poetry. It is also significant because it is one of the oldest passages that portrays fighting women, the account being that of Jael, the wife of Heber, a Kenite tent maker. Jael killed Sisera by driving a tent peg through his temple as he slept. Both Deborah and Jael are portrayed as strong independent women. The poem may have been included in the Book of the Wars of the Lord mentioned in Numbers 21:14.

In Hebrew, her name, דְּבוֹרָה, translates as “bee.
Joseph Smith Jr., like Native American people, had the utmost respect for women and their spiritual gifts. Early Mormons founders believed that women were on a higher spiritual level than men.  Orthodox Jews will tell you that NO women worshiped the Golden Calf during The Exodus. At no time did Joseph ever say that the “power and authority of the higher, or Melchizedek Priesthood” was exclusively limited to men.  Women had every right to the same authority and priesthood as any man, something Joseph taught the women in private, but which he could never help the men understand. Brigham Young did not understand this because of his absence in the mission field when Joseph gave this teaching, and after Joseph’s assassination, 2/3rds of the Mormons followed Brigham to Utah, and since that time, women in Utah have enjoyed much less respect from priesthood leaders in Utah than the female descendants of the 1/3 of Mormons who remained in Missouri — their modern counterparts in the RLDS Church, now known as The Community of Christ.
With few exceptions, Native American people never went to war unless the women made the decision to do so. In the ancient Cherokee Nation, all prisoners were watched over by women. A perfect example of this is the incident between John Smith and Pocahontas, whose mother was a Cherokee Keetoowah woman named Amopotuskee. (Cherokee: The spring or well)
They Cherokee and the Iroquois also shared a distinctive, matriarchal social structure. Women in the Cherokee society were equal to men. They could earn the title of War Women and sit in councils as equals. This privilege led an Irishman named Adair who traded with the Cherokee from 1736-1743 to suggest that the Cherokee had a “petticoat government”.

Clan kinship followed the mother’s side of the family. The children grew up in the mother’s house, and it was the duty of an uncle on the mother’s side to teach the boys how to hunt, fish, and perform certain tribal duties. The women owned the houses and their furnishings. Marriages were carefully negotiated, but if a woman decided to divorce her spouse, she simply placed his belongings outside the house. Cherokee women also worked hard. They cared for the children, cooked, tended the house, tanned skins, wove baskets, and cultivated the fields. Men helped with some household chores like sewing, but they spent most of their time hunting.

Nancy Ward, or Nan’yehi (nan yay hee), is the most famous Cherokee Beloved Woman. The role of Beloved Woman, Ghigau (Ghee gah oo), was the highest a Cherokee woman could aspire to. A Ghigau had a voice and vote in General Council, leadership of the Woman’s Council, the honor of preparing and serving the ceremonial Black Drink, the duty of ambassador of peace-negotiator, and the right to save the life of a prisoner already condemned to execution. One such prisoner was a settler named Mrs. Bean, who was captured in an attack on illegal white settlements on the Watauga (wah tah oo gah) River. Mrs. Bean taught Nan’yehi such skills as spinning, weaving, and the raising of animals, which Nan’yehi in turn taught the rest of the Cherokee. This provided the Cherokee with some food during the winter months, but gave them more work.

The title Ghigau also translates to “War Woman,” and Nan’yehi earned the title by taking up her husband’s gun when he was slain in a battle against the Creeks and leading her people to victory. Another War Woman, Cuhtahlatah, won honor during the American Revolutionary period by leading Cherokee warriors to victory after her husband fell. She later joined in a vigorous war dance carrying her tomahawk and gun.

It was important to the Cherokee that their losses be compensated with the same number of prisoners, scalps, or lives. Woman led in the execution of prisoners. It was their right and responsibility as mothers. They celebrated the capture of prisoners with song and dance and joined in torture at the stake. Women had the right to claim prisoners as slaves, adopt them as kin, or condemn them to death “with the wave of a swan’s wing.”

“She Speaks For Her Clan” by Dorothy Sullivan, “These seven honored women helped make important tribal decisions; they acted as judges; they helped determine if war should be declared; they helped decide life or death of captives; and they performed a dance to begin many special events. The Beloved Woman was their spokeswoman. ” The Beloved Woman, modeled by Wilma Mankiller, is pictured in the center of the painting. She represents the Blue Clan, or Panther Clan, who were known as keepers of the children. Members of the Blue Clan made a blue medicinal drink every spring to keep the children well.”

“Each woman is wearing a floral print tear dress in colors that symbolize her clan. Other symbols are displayed around the women, such as a wolf; a reed basket filled with wild potatoes; an eagle, the sacred bird of peace; and a pipe that was used for special ceremonies.

“In the foreground is the sacred fire that consisted of seven types of wood, one for each clan,” Sullivan said. “And across the bottom is a border of Cherokee roses, a wild rose that grows along the Trail of Tears. ” The painting took nearly a year from conception to completion, including research, locating models and the actual work.” Dorothy Sullivan

In the Cherokee society your Clan was your family. Children belonged to the entire Clan, and when orphaned were simply taken into a different household. Marriage within the clan was strictly forbidden, or pain of death. Marriages were often short term, and there was no punishment for divorce or adultery. Cherokee women were free to marry traders, surveyors, and soldiers, as well as their own tribesmen.

Cherokee girls learned by example how to be warriors and healers. They learned to weave baskets, tell stories, trade, and dance. They became mothers and wives, and learned their heritage. The Cherokee learned to adapt, and the women were the core of the Cherokee

Among the Iroquois, “Before the men could go to war, it was customary for the women to make the moccasins. If the women did not want war, they did not make moccasins.”

Famous Native American Quotes Concerning Women

“Bullying, Cyber-bullying, jealousy, hate, greed, lies, arrogance, searing self-absorption, destructive “power over” mentalities  are wasteful pursuits and causes the female heart to fall to the ground and the world to shatter that much more.  It is beyond healing, beyond human conscience when women fight with each other. We are Mother Earth’s heartbeat, the life-givers, it is our responsibility to bring peace, harmony and balance back to the world. This will not happen if we continue to find fault with ourselves and perpetuate it on our sisters. Remember sisters, as the Cheyenne saying below says, when the hearts of the women are on the ground, all the weaponry in the world will not save the earth. Wilwilaaysk, All my Relations”

“With few exceptions, in most tribes, inheritance and descendants came though the matrilineal line. Recognition of the matriarch as a natural and equal leader was an an integral part of tribal life and gave women a powerful voice in the decision-making processes of day-to-day living.”   “Women made an enormous contribution to the health, welfare and economies of tribal communities and in most cases were responsible for the day-to-day operation of tribal communities. We looked after the decision-making, children, the Old Ones, decisions regarding raids, food preparation, planting, shelter, clothing, and on and on.”

“Most often Cherokee women were the Leaders, Negotiators, Mediators and Decision-makers, for a variety of reasons:
(a) Their intimate knowledge and interaction with all members of the group on a day-to-day basis made us natural leaders, healers and keepers of tribal history. (b) Their finely honed attention to detail and multitasking skills made it possible to apply equal attention to the myriad of responsibilities we held – day-to-day governance; child-rearing; food and clothing preparation; planting; herbal medicines. (c) The ability to multi-task made us natural leaders within the domain of the inner circle of tribal societies. (d) The understanding in a circular-based spiritual belief system is that women, as ‘givers of life’ were responsible for the inner circle of family and community. (e) Women were often left alone for long periods of time as the men traveled farther and farther afield on the hunt.”
(Source: Shannon Thunderbird, Coast Tsimshian Elder)

“A nation is not conquered until the hearts of its women are on the ground. Then it is finished no matter how brave its warriors or how strong their weapons.” (Tsistsistas, Cheyenne)
“God has given us rights as women. We can’t blame the men for ignoring us.  It is because of the ignorance of women that we suffer from these problems. We women must be wise and strong enough to take charge, or we’ll never have a voice in the community. We must stand up for ourselves and take responsibility for our own conditions.” (Shama Chiragh, Afghanistan, 2002)

Women in Ancient Islam Khadija Daughter of Khuwaylid, Wife of Prophet Muhammad hired him, and was his employer. Islam did not rise except through Ali’s sword and Khadija’s wealth,” a saying goes. Although the society in which Khadija was born was a terribly male chauvinistic one, Khadija earned two titles: Ameerat-Quraysh, Princess of Quraysh, and al-Tahira, the Pure One, due to her impeccable personality and virtuous character, not to mention her honorable descent. She used to feed and clothe the poor, assist her relatives financially, and even provide for the marriage of those of her kin who could not otherwise have had means to marry. Mad Bear Anderson was known as one of the greatest Indian Seers of the 20th century. He was known as a Holy Man who could “travel without his suitcase.” He was the spiritual founder of The American Indian Movement. He has appeared to many people in dreams, including myself in 1985 and to Marcine Quenzer. A person I know, who lives in Utah, was asked to drive to New York state and bring Mad Bear Anderson to the Gathering of Nations at South Jordan, Utah near Salt Lake City in 1972. Upon reaching the point in the mountains just east of Salt Lake City on Interstate 80 — where a panoramic view of the Salt Lake Valley can be seen — Mad Bear excitedly asked his driver to stop the car. He got out of the car, and looked at the valley for some time, and got back into the car. When the driver asked what was wrong, he told her that her “It’s so sad… because it is so beautiful.”
When the driver pressed him further, he responded “I once had a vision of a great valley that was flooded, but never actually saw the same scene in real life… but not yet flooded. I just did today and am kinda shook up right now!” The driver later drove Mad Bear around Salt Lake City to see the usual tourist attractions, the Mormon Temple and the L.D.S. (Mormon) Church Office Building. Mad Bear told pointed to the golden statue of the Angel Moroni on top of the temple, and said, “The water will reach all the way to the base of that statue.” When he was driven by the L.D.S. (MORMON) Church Office Building, he said,”In my vision, I saw those giant maps of the world crash down to the ground because of an earthquake.”
Mormon missionaries are routinely told that the panels representing the hemispheres of the earth on the LDS Church Office Building are actually designed to crash to the ground in the case of a large earthquake. A little research will reveal to you that the statue on top of the L.D.S. (Mormon) Temple (210 feet tall) is near the old water level (5100 feet) of Lake Bonneville, which once filled the Salt Lake Valley.
During that pow-wow, Mad Bear gave the Mayor of West Jordan a pair of “prayer sticks,” and he instructed the Mayor to hang them on his wall in an “X” pattern, and if he ever saw the sticks move closer together, it was time to leave the valley, because the destruction time was near.

1972 INDIAN POW WOW FOR THE MORMONS
August 17th, 1972, there was an unusual Indian Pow Wow held at the city park in West Jordan. In a way, it seemed to fulfill Bishop Koyle’s dream about “the little spot of blue in the dark clouds about the size of a man’s hand.” It appeared from the Dream Mine to be over the Jordan Narrows, and was the first sign of a break in favor of the Dream Mine, and would mark the near approach of it’s vindication. This was the only Pow Wow that this caravan of Indians had held with the White Man. It was under the direction of Chief Mad Bear of the Tuscorora Six Nations Iroquois, and was held for the special benefit of the Mormons. He said that such a caravan could not be had next year because chaotic conditions would not permit it. Mad Bear was a prophet in his own right. Among the many prophecies he made was one of great importance to the people living within a fifty mile radius of Salt Lake City, for he predicted a major earthquake of disastrous consequences that would do great damage to those living in this area. This was only a part of the great judgment to be visited upon this people. ”
As a witness that what I have told you is true, the Great Spirit will send a gentle rain upon you the day after we leave here. They left on Aug. 18th, and on the afternoon Aug. 19th, the Great Spirit sent the gentle rain as promised. A very beautiful double rainbow came with it in the east. My daughter had presence of mind enough to take a picture of it with some color film that was in our camera. In a private conversation with Zula Brinkerhoff, who was the accepted principal contact with the Indians, Mad Bear declared that he had received a special visitation from Christ and the Prophet Joseph, and that be had been shown the gold plates and that it had been explained to him that there was a people here who would eventually be numbered with the righteous Indians and be preserved and spared from the destruction that had been decreed by the Almighty upon this land. That a harmonious relationship would be worked out between them, although the young warriors did not approve and wanted to see all white men destroyed, as called for in their legends.
Mad Bear also informed Zula that he would return to this valley soon in the company of Christ, the Prophet Joseph, and the Indian Seer, as well as a delegation of six special Indians. He said that Christ would drive the “money changers” out of the Temple as He had done before in Jerusalem during His ministry. He declared that all the general authorities of the Church would be evicted from their positions and that a new group would be called up under the direction of the Prophet Joseph. He said they would consist of six Indian Apostles and six White Men, and under the direction of the Indian Seer, they would commence a great work for both of their peoples. Book of Mormon Believers — Awake To a Sense of Your Awful Situation All one must do is read the newspaper headlines today to realize it looks like there is “no way out” of our present situation. Here is advice from Moroni, who truly saw our day:
Book of Ether, Chapter 8
18 And it came to pass that they formed a a secret combination, even as they of old; which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God;
19 For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations, neither doth he will that man should shed blood, but in all things hath forbidden it, from the beginning of man.

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people, and they are had among the Lamanites.
21 And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking, and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.
22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.
23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles, it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain—and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.
24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or woe be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.
25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil, who is the father of all lies; even that same liar who beguiled our first parents, yea, even that same liar who hath caused man to commit murder from the beginning; who hath hardened the hearts of men that they have murdered the prophets, and stoned them, and cast them out from the beginning.
26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have any power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be persuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all righteousness and be saved.

If you believe the Book of Mormon is nonsense, think about this:
The “Weights and Measures” system in use by Indians in Guatemala today are described in detail in the Book of Mormon.  The is NO way that Joseph Smith Jr. could have known about this.
There are many other proofs of the
veracity of The Book of Mormon, and as the science of Archaeology progresses, more and more proofs of the divine origins of The Book of Mormon will be discovered as time progresses.

Left to right: Dell Griffin (Cherokee), Will Blue otter (Powhatan/Cherokee) and Jimmy Ten rivers (Membreno Apache) taken in the underground parking garage under the LDS Church Office Building after meeting with LDS Church Historian Marlin K. Jensen on January 28th, 2008 As an intelligent Latter-day Saint, having been endowed and put under covenant in an LDS Temple, interested in his salvation, your next question might be, where do the Latter-day saints stand in relationship with their God, and Jesus Christ, as to their Original Set of Instructions?

Consider this: In January 28, 2008, because of my expertise in LDS history and activity in Native American affairs since 1985, I was part a three man delegation from “Iglesia de Aztlan” Native American Church that was to have a meeting with a member of the Quorum of Twelve seeing a grant from The LDS Foundation for Iglesia de Aztlan’s Annual Sundance at Gardiner Colorado. The LDS Church had donated $25,000 for the construction of a Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah. (See http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700777/LDS-foundation-donates-25000-to-Krishna-temple.html?pg=all)

We were seeking for $10,000 grant for the purchase of three new Tipis for the annual sundance. We met with Marlin K. Jensen instead, who commented “I can just imagine to expressions on the faces of the Apostles when I approach them for this grant.” Elder Jensen said that he personally was very supportive of Native Americans, recounted some of his experiences and respect for them, but his body language indicated that members of The Quorum of Twelve might not share his enthusiasm for Native Americans, and we were ushered out, and told the grant would indeed be requested, and then asked to be quiet about it. A few weeks later Iglesia de Aztlan 501(c)3’s Native American Church received a grant of $2,000. You can imagine how, as Book of Mormon descendants, how humiliated we felt that a big splash was made about the LDS Church’s $25,000 donation to the Krishnas, and we had been told to “keep quiet” about what turned out to be the measly $2,000 Iglesia de Aztlan received.

It wasn’t until months later that we learned our scheduled meeting with one of the Quorum of Twelve was canceled and we met with Elder Jensen instead because of the impending death of President Gordon B.  Hinckley. As a delegation of Three representing The Native American Church, we thought it somehow ironic in light of the legends of The Three Nephites of The Book of Mormon and that we may have in some strange way been “harbingers” a person or thing that announces or signals the approach of another.

After his resurrection and ascention, Jesus Christ called 12 Disciples during his visit to The Americas, and he gave all of them the choice to “tarry” until His return. Three of the Nephite Disciples agreed to remain in a translated state of mortality. They are known as “The Three Nephites.” Many people have been visited by one or more of these men, including my son Joseph, and my mother-in-law Rosalie Larkin.
There was a spate of “sightings” of The Three Nephites in the mid 1990s. Typically, travelers would pick up what they thought was a hitchhiker, who would then fasten his seatbelt, and then ask the driver if they had the food storage recommended by their Church. The “hitchhiker” would then vanish leaving the fastened seatbelt laying on the seat.  One incident involving a Utah Highway Partrolman who pulled up behind a woman who slammed on her brakes after just such a shocking disappearance made the newspapers in Utah back in the late 1980s.
There names are
Jeremiah, Zedekiah, and Kumenonhi.Ghe wok under the direction of John The Revelator who was also “translated” and is immortal.  For more information on these three immortal beings click here.  Read Joseph Smith’s doctrine on The Three Nephites here.

Handsome Lake, 1735?–1815, Seneca religious prophet; half-brother of Cornplanter. In 1799, after a long illness, he had a vision and began to preach new religious beliefs. His moral teachings showed a similarity to Christian ethics and had a profound effect among the Iroquois. He advocated giving up the nomadic Native American life in favor of agriculture. Though Christian missionaries opposed Handsome Lake’s religion, it persists alongside Christianity to this day.

Handsome Lake apparently experienced a visit from the Three Nephites before Joseph Smith was even born. Handsome Lake, like Wovoka,  experienced a coma for a long period, and when he finally awoke he had a message for his people. Here is an account (from my memory) from the book Traditional Teachings (North American Indian Travelling College, 1984)

Near the beginning of his spiritual experiecnce during his weeks long come, Handsome lake saw three Indians walking in the air above the ground. Each had a bow in one hand and an elderberry branch in the other. They said that they worked inder the direction of another man who was in “Creator’s Land.” Handsome Lake reported that he met this man later in his weeks long coma, and said that he appeared to be a white man.

You may read “The Message of The Four Beings” from The Code of Handsome Lake. The “Good News Religion” Handsome Lake founded still flourishes amongst the Iroquois.

A recent Reuters news article (http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/01/30/uk-mormonchurch-idUKTRE80T1CP20120130) makes the point that LDS youth are very poorly taught concerning the history of their church.

“We are aware,” said (Marlin K.) Jensen, according to a tape recording of his unscripted remarks. “And I’m speaking of the 15 men that are above me in the hierarchy of the church. They really do know and they really care,” he said.

“My own daughter,” he then added, “has come to me and said, ‘Dad, why didn’t you ever tell me that Joseph Smith was a polygamist?'” For the younger generation, Jensen acknowledged, “Everything’s out there for them to consume if they want to Google it.” The manuals used to teach the young church doctrine, meanwhile, are “severely outdated.”

These are tumultuous times for the faith founded by Joseph Smith in 1830, and the rumbling began even before church member Mitt Romney’s presidential bid put the Latter-Day Saints in the spotlight.

Jensen, the church’s official historian, would not provide any figures on the rate of defections, but he told Reuters that attrition has accelerated in the last five or 10 years, reflecting greater secularization of society. Many religions have been suffering similarly, he noted, arguing that Mormonism has never been more vibrant.

So one might ask themselves were has the LDS Church drifted off to if they esteem Krishnaites higher than Lamanites? Since my baptism in 1977, I have been led to discover what you have just been introduced to is just the tip of he iceberg that will sooner of later “Sink the Titanic” Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Remember what Orson Pratt said above? “Now, a great many, without reading these things, have flattered themselves that we are the ones who are going to do all this work. It is not so; we have got to be helpers, we have got to be those who co-operate with the remnants of Joseph in accomplishing this great work; for the Lord will have respect unto them, because they are of the blood of Israel, and the promises of their fathers extend to them…”

After graduating from Brigham Young University in 1979, serving as an Executive with The Boy Scouts of America until 1981, and serving at Boystown as Family Living Instructor in 1982, my wife and I moved to Independence Missouri. While in he Center Stake of Zion in Independence, Missouri, I was called to teach early morning Seminary and after many happy months, I realized it was a definite career possibility, so after a year there, I applied for and was accepted as a candidate in the Church Educational System under Steven K. Iba and my wife and I moved back to Utah. I was posted to Murray High School as a student teacher. At the outset, I was totally shocked that the students as Murray High School were very poorly behaved, and had most of the same behavioral problems as the nine “pre-delinquent” teens I dealt with at Boystown. I was a very “cool” and tolerant fellow used to dealing with recalcitrant and hateful youths. One especially sullen and hateful teen and I had a confrontation that led to my resignation. I was expected to allow this teen to sit in the back of the room and make all the snide comments he wanted to with total impunity, knowing the LDS Church Educational System rules allowed him to do so just to keep him in his seat. Their regular teacher later apologized profusely, saying that the nature of LDS youth had drastically changed in that last ten years 1975 to 1985, and the church policy had allowed such behavior to flourish just to keep the teens coming to Released Time Seminary at buildings built by the church adjacent to all high schools in Utah. Among many other incidents, that was a big eye-opener of what was happening in the church in Utah, as opposed to the wonderful spirit we enjoyed in congregations in “the mission field” outside of Utah.

Now that we have discovered the sad state of spiritual affairs in the LDS Church,  where do we go from here? We go the direction Joseph Smith was heading just before he was murdered.

Dallin Oaks, my former BYU president and now a Justice on the Utah Supreme Court wrote a book The Carthage Conspiracy, and his research showed that there were representatives from all states of the union in Carthage Illinois the day that Joseph Smith Jr. and his brother Hyrum were assassinated by a conspiracy. Joseph Smith he was running for President of The United States, and the polling in all the eastern newspapers and by steamships up and down the Mississippi river showed he was in first place amongst the candidates. Joseph had made solid plans via written communiques with Sam Houston to move the Mormons to Texas, and the Nauvoo Legion of 2500 very well disciplined soldiers outnumbered the standing army of the United States at that time. The Nauvoo Legion would have been very useful in the defense of the Texians on that frontier and the outcome of the Cherokee in Texas would have been much different.Joseph was seeking the “Choice Seer” spoken of in the  Book of Mormon. Joseph was forewarned of an attempt on his life, and crossed the Mississippi River with a small company, and was on his way to The Rocky Mountains to find the Choice Seer when he was called back to Nauvoo, Illinois saying “I am going as a lamb to the slaughter” and was assassinated.

Joseph Smith, Jr.,  was referred to as “the modern Mahomet” by the New York Herald, shortly after his murder in June 1844. LDS Church member Abner Scovil said: “In the latter part of June last, I heard Joseph Smith, jun., say, that if the people would let him alone, he would conquer them by the sword of the spirit; but if they would not, he would beat the plough-shares into swords, and their pruning-hooks into spears, and conquer them he would conquer them by the sword of the spirit; but if they would not, he would beat the plough-shares into swords, and their pruning-hooks into spears, and conquer them he would.” (Source: Testimony of Abner Scovil, in Hunt, Mormonism, 227)

Brigham Young continued the search for the Choice Seer when they reached and colonized the country of the Utes, but after the Black Hawk wars Brigham eventually concluded that all Indians were savages by the time he died in 1877.

The “All Things in Common” issue was VASTLY more important to the Mormons in their relationship with Creator than Polygyny ever was… and they broke a covenant when they stopped trying to live All Things in Common. Polygyny was a “side” issue, and would have eventually been abandoned when the Mormon population reached self-sufficient nation-state proportions.re

Joseph Smith was tryed to convince Mormons to live “All Things in Common” just as early Christians lived, as described in the Book of Acts, the same lifestyle that he observed Lamanites of The House of Israel (Indians) as living.
Upon reaching the Valley of The Great Salt Lake, Brigham Young organized dozens of “United Order” (All Things in Common) communities to be settled all over Utah, and ordered many Mormon men to intermarry with Indians when they first colonized Utah. Brigham Young carried on this policy until after The Black Hawk War. Brigham Young made it clear that if that even if righteous religious principals were outlawed by governments, God would still honor the intent of His people, just as long as that principal abode in the heart of His people. Some older Latter Day Saints today do fondly remember stories of The United Order, but its actual practice is confined to LDS church fringe elements.

Walkara, Chief of the Ute duringThe Black Hawk Wars in Utah

Events like The Grattan Massacre (The War of The Mormon Cow witnessed by a young Crazy Horse) during the Mormon migration to Utah showed what little regard average Mormons actually had for Indians in spite of what they had been taught by their Priesthood leaders. The Mountain Meadows Massacre by Mormons disguised as Indians in Southern Utah was the innocent slaughter of of a wagon train from Harrison Arkansas of the Fancher/Baker party on their way to California — mixed blood Cherokees who had escaped removal of Cherokee from the 1817 Western Cherokee Reservation into Indian Territory in what is now Northeastern Oklahoma.

The Holy Bible also speaks of the Choice Seer and “Branch” of 2nd Nephi 3.  Zechariah 6:12 (KJV) “And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD” Brigham Young at the Provo, Utah Bowery Conference in 1867 Brethren, said “this Church will be led onto the very brink of hell by the leaders of this people. Then God will raise the one mighty and strong spoken of in the 85th Section of the Doctrine and Covenants, to save and redeem this church.”

Joseph Smith, who founded the LDS and RLDS churches, told the Latter-day Saints they were “identified with the Gentiles.” The title page of 1830 Book of Mormon specifically categorizes the people of the world into three categories, the Lamanites (American Indians), Jews, and Gentiles. Although Joseph Smith and others who established the church are members of the Northern Kingdom of The House of Israel in Exile, and the church has members of that lineage today, known as the descendants of Ephraim, the present LDS church is referred to in the scriptures as the Gentiles, because they they left the Sinai Covenant 2735 years ago (as of this writing in late September 2012), and Gentiles make up the primary membership of the LDS, RLDS, Churches of Christ Temple Lot. Bickertonites, and other “Restoration” churches today.

Joseph Smith Jr. taught that the Mormons, after their chastening in the Rocky Mountains, would trek on a “horseshoe shaped route” southward across the nearest bridge over the Colorado River (at what is now Moab, Utah) and to old Mexico — before returning back to Independence, Jackson County, Missouri to build the New Jerusalem.

Joseph Smith and the church’s twelve apostles also stated in a Proclamation to all of the Emperors, Kings, Princes, and heads of state in the world at the time that “The poor degraded son of the forest “(Indians) would someday “Stand up in majesty,” Just as Sequoyah did and as Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers MD is doing today.

Brigham Young, who succeeded Joseph Smith warned the Mormons that “Our hope lies with the Indians” and “The Indians will yet save us,” and “When they come, I fear that we will only follow them.”

James E. Talmadge removed Pratt’s footnotes after 1905 in the English edition, but they remained in he Spanish edition until 1920.

All of these facts have now been completely forgotten by current Mormons leaders.

In 1890, a chapter was closed in Mormon history, and another was opened… the descendants of Manasseh (Hebrew: Forgetful) amongst Cherokee Indians, had never stopped practicing their religious rites and had moved to Mexico in 1721 to have the freedom to do so. The great Sequoyah became absolutely convinced of this as a fact and went searching for them, perishing in his quest. See http://CherokeeDiscovery.com

Lehi Preaching Repentance at Jerusalem Once again Creator has begin working directly with The House of Israel whom He had safely hidden away in The Americas. This would include direct descendants of Prince Mulek, who was the son of King Zedekiah the last dejure King of Israel, who was sent along with a small colony to the Americas around the same time that Lehi colony was sent here. Both Book of Mormon colonies eventually discovered each other, and that dejure Royal Hebrew bloodline still exists here in the Americas, and DNA research is verifying more and more concerning these things as time goes by.
God told the Jews that the scepter would not depart from them until Shiloh came, but that He would removed from them Root (Kings) and Branch (Prophets). “Shiloh” in the Hebrew is translated “The City of Ephraim” which was the resting place for the tabernacle during the building of The First Temple in ancient Israel. In Hebrew parlance “Ephraim” is synonymous with “The House of Israel” as opposed to “The House of Judah.” The Scepter of Israel was first held by Benjamite kings, was transferred to Judah and will remain with Judah… “until Shiloh comes.”

WHAT THE SONS OF JACOB/ISRAEL FORESAW ABOUT OUR TIMES

The Testaments of The Twelve Patriarchs was discovered in Egypt in the 1700s, and was printed in Edinburgh in 1885. The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs is a constituent of the apocryphal scriptures connected with the Bible. It is a pseudepigraphical work comprising the dying commands of the twelve sons of Jacob. It is part of the Oskan Armenian Orthodox Bible of 1666. Fragments of similar writings were found at Qumran.

Levi, son of Jacob/Israel apparently saw forward through time and foresaw the Mormons, the first descendants of The Northern Kingdom of Israel to make an attempt at a restoration of the Priesthood and Kingdom of God. In The Testaments of The Twelve Patriarchs, is is recorded:

17. And because ye have heard concerning the seventy weeks, hear also concerning the priesthood; for in each jubilee there shall be a priesthood. In the first jubilee, the first who is anointed into the priesthood (Joseph Smith Jr. 1830-1844) shall be great, and shall speak to God as to a Father; and his priesthood shall be filled with the fear of the Lord, and in the day of his gladness shall he arise for the salvation of the world. In the second jubilee, he that is anointed (Brigham Young served 1847-1877) shall be conceived in the sorrow of beloved ones; and his priesthood shall be honored, and shall be glorified among all. (He is most famous as a great American colonizer) And the third priest (John Taylor served 1877-1887) shall be held fast in sorrow; (he had to hide from U.S. Marshals to evade arrest) and the fourth (Wilford Woodruff 1887-1898) shall be in grief, because unrighteousness shall be laid upon him exceedingly, (The “1890 Manifesto” was drafted in John Taylor’s time and he refused to sign it and said would be signed by his successor) and all Israel shall hate each one his neighbor. The fifth (Lorenzo Snow served 1898-1901) shall be held fast in darkness, (The Lord refused his meeting in The Holy of Holies as described above) likewise also the sixth and the seventh (Heber J. Grant served 1918 to 1945). And in the seventh there shall be such pollution as I am not able to express, before the Lord and men, for they shall know it who do these things. (1918 to 1945 LDS Church property was secretly mortgaged to Chase Bank to save the church’s failing businesses. LDS Church property, by commandment, must be wholly owned before its dedication and use) Therefore shall they be in captivity (debt) and for a prey, (hounded by the US Government well into the 1920s in the Reed Smoot affair) and their land and their substance shall be destroyed. (Yet to be fulfilled) And in the fifth week (Dating from 1847, the fifth “week” was between 1871-1882) they shall return into their desolate country, (The St. George Temple was the first temple dedicated in Utah’s desolate Southwest corner in 1877 and Moroni while still in mortality had visited the area and many lost records ave been discovered there) and shall renew the house of the Lord. And in the seventh week (President Grant: 1918 to 1945) shall come the priests, worshipers of idols, contentious, lovers of money, proud, lawless, lascivious, abusers of children and beasts.

18. And after their punishment (World War 1) shall have come from the Lord, the priesthood shall fail…

(Remember, Apostle Joseph Fielding Smith declared that; “It is the L. D. Saints who have transgressed the laws, change the ordinance, broke the everlasting covenant.” Joseph Fielding Smith (Deseret News, Church Section, Oct. 17, 1936)

…then will the Lord raise up to the priesthood a new Priest, (Dr. Charles Layton “Jah-t’lo-hi” Rogers was born 10/11/1947) to whom all the words of the Lord shall be revealed; and He shall execute a judgment of truth upon the earth, in the fullness of days. And His (Seven pointed Cherokee) star shall arise in heaven, as a king shedding forth the light of knowledge in the sunshine of day, (Dr. Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) has restored The Ancient Cherokee Church of The One God Yo He Waah and its ancient priesthood that predated The Roman Catholic Church by several centuries) and He shall be magnified in the world until His ascension. (Dr. Charles L. “Jahtlohi” Kingfisher Rogers is a world famous oncologist, a totally natural medicine healer little known in the USA but is honored and feted in Mexico and elsewhere) He shall shine forth as the sun in the earth, and shall drive away all darkness from the world under heaven, and there shall be peace in all the earth. (Dr Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) has been a leader in the Cherokee/Hebrew connection movement since is revival in the 1970s) The heavens shall rejoice in His days, and the earth shall be glad, and the clouds shall be joyful, and the knowledge of the Lord shall be poured forth upon the earth, as the water of seas; and the angels of the glory of the presence of the Lord shall be glad in Him. The heavens shall be opened, and from the temple of glory shall the sanctification come upon Him with the Father’s voice, as from Abraham the father of Isaac. And the glory of the Most High shall be uttered over Him, and the spirit of understanding and of sanctification shall rest upon Him in the water. (Cherokees “go to water ritually every day) He shall give the majesty of the Lord to His sons in truth for evermore; and there shall none succeed Him for all generations, even for ever. And in His priesthood shall all sin come to an end, and the lawless shall rest from evil, and the just shall rest in Him. And He shall open the gates of paradise, and shall remove the threatening sword against Adam; and He shall give to His saints to eat from the tree of life, and the spirit of holiness shall be on them. And Beliar shall be bound by Him, and He shall give power to His children to tread upon the evil spirits. And the Lord shall rejoice in His children, and the Lord shall be well pleased in His beloved for ever. Then shall Abraham and Isaac and Jacob be joyful, and I will be glad, and all the saints shall put on gladness.

19. And now, my children, ye have heard all; choose therefore for yourselves either the darkness or the light, either the law of the Lord or the works of Beliar. And we answered our father, saying, Before the Lord will we walk according to His law. And our father said, The Lord is witness, and His angels are witnesses, and I am witness, and ye are witnesses, concerning the word of your mouth. And we said, We are witnesses. And thus Levi ceased giving charge to his sons; and he stretched out his feet, and was gathered to his fathers, after he had lived a hundred and thirty-seven years. And they laid him in a coffin, and afterwards they buried him in Hebron, by the side of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob. http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/anf08.iii.v.html

Who Is The Choice Seer and/or The Branch Indian Prophet?

So now we have established that European Gentiles would migrate to the Americas, would bring forth the Book of Mormon, would stray from the fullness of the gospel contained in it, just as predicted in the Book of Mormon… and that Creator still loves the Gentiles, and would provide them with priesthood leadership from the natural branch of the House of Israel (American Indians) a branch which was “broken off.”

Let’s Explore How Creator May Soon Set Things in Order

In 1984, (see http://keetoowahsociety.org/video.htm) it was revealed in a KJRH-TV documentary “Then in the hand of Sequoyah the Keetoowah Commandments… “That means we belong to that in there… the way he says… We belong to God… and its Israel… God is Israel, Israel psalmers… Israel belong to God.” Spoken by Chief William Lee Smith, during the 1984 KJRH Television Documentary Spirit of the Fire.

It was also revealed by God that the Keetoowah Society was the Chief Tribe of all the tribes in North American, and if Creator had a message to give to the People, it would come through the Keetoowah people.

The Cherokee Sacred Ark –

Reminiscences of the Indians, Cephas Washburn, 1869

Ta-Ka-E-Tuh said his people had very greatly degenerated from what they were in his early youth: and that many of the observances now kept up had been desecrated from solemn religious rites into mere scenes of revelry. The cause of this, as he said, was the capture, of the Delawares, of their religious deposit, (the interpreter called it the ark,) which contained the symbols of their worship. I inquired what were these symbols? He either could not, or would not, tell me. I feared they might be something like idols, …but he assured me the Cherokees had never worshiped idols, or any visible representation of God. When I told him of the nations that worshiped idols, he said they must be fools.

  • But their (Hebrews) modes and objects of worship, differed very widely from those of the Americans (Cherokees) … p170
  • They are such strict observers of the law of purification, and think it so essential in obtaining health and success in war as not to allow the best beloved trader that ever lived among them, even to enter the beloved ground, appropriated to the religious duty of being sanctified for war; much less to associate with the camp in the woods, though he went (as I have known it to happen) on the same war design; – they oblige him to walk and encamp separate and by himself, as an impure and dangerous animal, till the leader has purified him, according to their usual time and method, with the consecrated things of the ark…
  • The Indian ark is of a very simple construction, and it is only the intention and application of it, that makes it worthy of notice; for it is made with pieces of wood securely fashioned together in the form of a square. The middle of three of the sides extend a little out, but one side is flat, for the convenience of the person’s back who carries it. Their ark has a cover and the whole is made impenetrably close with Hickory splinters; the leader, and a beloved waiter, carry it by turns. It contains several consecrated vessels, made by super annuated (ghi ga hu) women, and of such various antiquated forms, as would have puzzled Adam to give significant names to each. The leader and his attendant, are purified longer than the rest of the company, that the first may be fit to act in the religious office of a priest of war, and the other to carry the awful sacred ark. All the while they are at war, the Hessitu, or “beloved waiter” feeds each of the warriors by an exact stated rule, giving them even the water they drink, out of his own hands, lest by intemperance they should spoil the supposed communicative power of their holy things, and occasion fatal disasters to the war camp. In speaking of the Indian places of refuge for the unfortunate, I observed, that if a captive taken by the reputed power of the beloved things of the ark, should be able to make his escape into one of these towns, or even into the winter house of the Archi-magus, he is delivered from the fiery torture, otherwise inevitable. It is also highly worthy of notice, that they never place the ark on the ground, nor sit on the bare earth while they are carrying it against the enemy. On hilly ground where stones are plenty, they place it on them: but in level land upon short logs, always resting themselves on like materials. Formerly, when this tract was the Indian Flanders of America, as the French and all their red Canadian confederates were bitter enemies to the inhabitants, we often saw the woods full of such religious war- reliques. p 168-169
  • …their strict purity in their war camps; that Opae, “the leader”, obliges all during the first campaign they make with the beloved ark, to stand, every day they lie by, from sun-rise to sun-set and after a fatiguing day’s march, and with scanty allowance, to drink warm water embittered with rattle-snake-root very plentifully, in order to be purified – that they have also as strong a faith of the power and holiness of their ark as the Israelites ascribing the superior success of the party to their stricter adherence to the law then the other and after they returned home hang it on the leaders war pole. p170
  • The ark is said to be so sacred and dangerous to be touched, either by their own, sanctified warriors, or the spoiling enemy, that they durst not touch it for any reason. It is not to be meddled with by anyone except the war chief and his waiter under the penalty of incurring great evil. Nor would the most inveterate enemy touch it in the woods for the same reason. If their war expedition failed then they said it was because of the vicious conduct of some of the followers of the beloved ark… p170
  • *A gentleman who was at the Ohio, in the year 1756, assured me he saw a stranger there very importunate to view the inside of the Cherokee ark, which was covered with a dressed deerskin and placed on a couple of short blocks. An Indian sentinel watched it armed with a hickory bow and the brass pointed arrows and he was faithful to his trust for finding the stranger obtruding to pollute the supposed sacred vehicle, he drew an arrow to the head and would have shot him through the body had he not suddenly withdrawn; the interpreter, when asked by the gentleman what it contained, told him there was nothing in it but a bundle of conjuring traps. p170
  • When they have finished their fast and purifications, they set off, at the fixed time, be it fair or foul, firing their guns, whooping, and halooing, as they march. The war-leader (Savanukah) goes first, carrying the holy ark: he (or she) soon strikes up the awful and solemn song … The rest follow in one line … now and then sounding the war whoo-whoop, to make the war-leader’s song the more striking … Adair’s History of the American Indian, James Adair, London 1775

Buttrick: Antiquities p.12- refers to the ark being covered with a deerskin “to be set up when they rested and carried when they journeyed.”

It is a matter of LDS Church History that Joseph Smith Jr. made inquiries and trips into Cherokee Lands in the “bootheel” of Missouri in search of The Cherokee Sacred Ark.

Now, as the Restored Priesthood of the Royal Lineage of the House of Israel, the Keetoowah Cherokee lineage, we offer all persons of good will the opportunity to join with us in celebration!

The records of The Keetoowah Society state: In late 1866, there was an important meeting of the Keetoowah in the Saline District (about forty miles north of Fort Gibson) to decide what the future of the organization would be. John Smith, son of one of the founders of the Ancient Keetoowah, described the meeting: “All the people camped out there. All the old men were seers. They kept themselves clean with medicine. The medicine men investigated the future of the Keetoowahs.”(John Smith quoted in Janey Hendrix, Redbird Smith and the Nighthawk Keetoowahs, (Park Hill, OK: Cross-Cultural Education Center, 1983), 11.) The prophecy of the seers foretold difficult times to come and of future leaders but it focused on an immediate necessity, that of healing the Nation by rebuilding the Keetoowah, “When they get together, they going to make a strong organization. They gonna get ready to get together.” (Comes Flying quoted in Hendrix, 11.)

The Branch Prophet: Who Is He?

I am putting forward for your consideration that Principal Chief Charles Layton Jahtlohi (Cherokee: Kingfisher) Rogers Sr. is indeed the Choice Seer and Branch Prophet. Read Chief Rogers Curriculum Vitae here. Read the Torah Portion corresponding with his birthday here and his Hebrew Haftorah here.

When you study Lehi’s stringent qualifiers in 2nd Nephi Chapter 3 (Utah version), perhaps you may agree that the LDS Church was in error in 1981 when it claimed that Joseph Smith Jr. had fulfilled this prophecy, because Joseph claimed he was 100% Ephraimite, and his genealogy is accounted for as 100% European.

Chief Rogers Mayan Birthdate for Oct 11, 1947  is 7 MAN’IK in Mayan Tzolkin traditional daycount which is day 7 of the 260 days. Man’ik relates to deer but also the glyph is a HAND and relates to ITZAMNA the “skillful hand” or “great healer” and relates to his work as a healer.

What’s In a Name?

When first exposed to this prophecy, people note that this prophet will be named after his father. Most people automatically assume the Branch prophet’ s name will be “Joseph,” but some scholars have upon careful study have concluded that the Branch’s identity may be discerned by looking towards the name “Lehi” or a permutation of its Hebrew equivalent L-H.

I point out that Chief Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers Cherokee name begins with “Ah” (a permutation of our Father’s name  YOH-HE-WAAH) and ends with LOHI which is a permutation of and the Hebrew equivalent of “Lehi”, since there are no vowels in the Hebrew language. Interestingly, Kingfisher brings to mind The Fisher Kings of ancient lore, and that Jah, being ancient name of God, suggest the Cherokee name Jah-t’-lo-hi might mean “God’s Fisherman;” after all Jesus told us to be “Fishers of Men.”
Since the Branch Prophet MUST be named after his father, Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers MD has a DOUBLE fulfillment because the name of his (and our) Father “Jah” is the first part of his Cherokee name, Jah-t-lo-hi (Cherokee: Kingfisher)

Also of note, another fulfillment of the 2nd Nephi Chapter 2 Branch Prophet prophecy was fulfilled when Dr. Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers was kidnapped and held for ransom in Mexico, was tortured and eventually released… and his enemies did not prevail against him, whereas Joseph Smith was murdered. Dr. Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers’ kidnapping incident was covered by The New York Times. See http://www.nytimes.com/2005/01/23/international/americas/23mexico.html?pagewanted=all&position=&_r=0

The prophecy in 2 Nephi:3 also states that The Branch Prophet will be given power in a rod. Regarding “rods” every Indian Chief carried a Shepherd’s Crook, just as Moses carried a Rod.  Egyptian Pharaohs are depicted with a Shepherds Crook and a “Flail” which can be used either for winnowing wheat or as a tool of discipline.

Each Tribe of Israel is represented by a “Shevet” — a stick or rod. Indians migrated the same way as the Hebrews did in Exodus… each night they pushed the Chief’s rod into the ground, and traveled the way it leaned the next morning.

Another thing to consider is that Crown Prince Mulek, who carried the dejure Royal Hebrew Kingship Line was sent by King Zedekiah to The America’s and eventually met up with ant intermarry with Lehi’s colony… so the Royal Davidic Line is amongst the American Indian. The Keetoowah Cherokee were told by God that they are the Chief Tribe of all Indian Tribes in the Americas, and that they were only people through which God would deliver prophecy to Native American peoples through. The Staff of Moses Chief Rogers and his Staff

DON’T BELIEVE ME!

READ the prophecy in 2nd Nephi:3, and read Section 9 of the D&C, apply the advice given to Oliver Cowdery, then decide yeah or nay,

THEN make a decision as to whether we speak the truth, and go ask God who will inform you either way.

Isaiah 28:11 (KJV) Speaks of a future servant who will speak with “stammering lips and another tongue.” The original Hebrew is translated by Orthodox Jews as “For with distorted speech and in another language, does he speak to this people.”

Isaiah 28: (King James Version)

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

12 To whom he said , This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest ; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear .

13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go , and fall backward, and be broken , and snared , and taken .

14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.

15 Because ye have said , We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through , it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste .

17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

18 And your covenant with death (1890 Manifesto) shall be disannulled , and your agreement with hell shall not stand ; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through , then ye shall be trodden down by it.

19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over , by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.

20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Isaiah 28: (From a Modern Orthodox Hebrew Source)
11. For with distorted speech and in another language, does he speak to this people.

12. For he said to them, “This is the rest; give rest to the weary, and this is the tranquility,” but they would not listen.

13. And the word of the Lord shall be for them a precept for a precept, a precept for a precept, a line for a line, a line for a line, a little there, a little there, in order that they go and stumble backwards and be broken, and be trapped and caught.

14. Therefore, listen to the word of the Lord, men of scorn, allegorists of this people who are in Jerusalem

15. For you said, “We have made a treaty with death, and with the grave we have set a limit; when an overflowing scourge passes, it shall not come upon us, for we have made lies our shelter and in falsehood have we hidden ourselves.

16. Therefore, so has the Lord God said: “Behold, I have laid as a foundation a stone in Zion, a fortress stone, a costly cornerstone, a foundation well founded; the believer shall not hasten.

17. And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plummet, and hail shall sweep away the shelter of lies, and water shall flood the hiding place.

18. And your treaty with death shall be nullified, and your limit with the grave shall not endure; when an overflowing scourge passes, you shall be trampled by it.

19. When it passes, it shall take you, for every morning it shall pass, by day and by night, and it shall be only terror to understand the message.

20. For the bed is too short for one to stretch, and the ruler-it shall be narrow when he enters.

21. For like the mountain of breaches shall the Lord arise, like the valley in Gibeon He shall be incensed; to perform His deed, strange is His deed, and to perform His work, strange is His work

Indians are known to stammer (as opposed to stutter) (see http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/stammer) which means to pause between thoughts and repeat teachings when they teach.

Cherokees do NOT speak their original language. Our oral historians tell that after we migrated up from Mexico, we warred with the Iroquois until we agreed to speak their language, but there are many Hebrew words in the Cherokee language that are not in the Iroquoian language, especially in the Keetoowah Dialect. The “M” and “R” Cherokee speakers (who would pronounce “Keetoowah” as “Keetoorah” or Ketura, the third wife of Abraham) who observed most of the ancient Hebrew laws and customs, migrated back to Lake Chapala Mexico in 1721.

Chief Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers speaks the truth to the Cherokee people as a whole, yet amongst the U.S. Government recognized Cherokee, only the most elderly of Cherokee elders really listen to him… and many are afraid to speak up for fear of being punished.

We sincerely invite you to take Brigham Young’s injunction to heart, and become “identified with the Lamanites…” join The Cherokee Nation of Mexico known in the United States as “The Cherokee Nation of Sequoyah of Mexico, Texas the USA Reservation and Church” even if you do not have a single drop of Indian blood, and become a part of or ancient priestly Anikilohi or Long Hair Clan specifically designated for “Strangers.”

Anciently in Israel non-Hebrew “strangers” were known as God Fearers who follow The 7 Laws of Noah  and even down to the time of Jesus they were allowed access to The Court Of the Gentiles at The Great Temple at Jerusalem. Today non-Israelite gentiles are allowed residency in The State of Israel if they sware allegiance to The God of Israel, whom the Cherokee have always called YO HEE WAAH.

We offer you a membership in the extended family of The Cherokee Nation of Mexico, which is known on the U.S.A. as “The Cherokee Nation of Sequoyah of Mexico, Texas and the USA Reservation and Church.”

1st Nephi Chapter 8 Lehi sees a vision of the tree of life — He partakes of its fruit and desires his family to do likewise — He sees a rod of iron, a strait and narrow path, and the mists of darkness that enshroud men. He sees a large and spacious building where people are mocking him from within.
Any Jew will tell you that “The Tree of Life” in Lehi’s Vision in The Book of Mormon is The Torah, or First Five books of Moses… yet if you ask the average Latter Day Saint they would tell you they have no knowledge of this.
When the traditional Hopi were recently asked if they were interested in any of the white man’s sacred books, they responded, “We are only looking for the book on the bottom” which would be the Torah, the first five books of Moses and the foundation of The Holy Bible. Traditional Hopi at Old Oraibi are now studying The Torah. We have much more to share with you… a rich and vibrant culture that reaches back through the mists of time. But we warn you… time is very short. Study Daniel Timeline and you will realize just how little time is left

Read the Parable of The Ten Virgins. Be wise virgins, and gather your oil while it can still be had. Follow your heart, and if you take Brigham Young’s advice don’t blindly follow your leaders “to the brink of hell.”

Native American people have long known how to talk directly with their Creator. If you are to survive the calamities of Last Days, you MUST establish a person-to-person and heart-to-heart relationship with your Creator. Learn to pray and relax your mind BUT stay awake and listen for answers. Native Americans call this “Crying for a vision” or “Vision quest.’ This is what Jesus did in the wilderness for 40 days, but you do not need to leave your own homes to accomplish this. When Creator begins speaking to you, His voice will seem to be strong “thoughts” that will come into your mind but you will KNOW those thoughts did NOT originate in your own mind. This relationship takes time to cultivate, so be patient. This process is like building muscles… the more you exercise, and the more often, the stronger you will get.

Visit http://TheLostMormonTreasure and learn from Chief Charles L. Jahtlohi (Kingfisher) Rogers MD what Joseph Smith Jr. admitted he did not know… the meaning of the word “Mormon.”
Go to http://theancientcherokeechurchoftheonegodyohewaah.org/ and learn about the spiritual beliefs of the Cherokee people.

Remember, in the Book of Mormon it took Alma two attempts and 25 years after the second attempt for the church to be accepted of God.

Joseph Smith Jr. said IF he told you what he knew about the Kingdom of God, you would probably kill him.
Joseph was trying to get you to embrace your Hebrew roots! But most of the church came from protestant thinking New England, and carried their ignorance over as they came into the Restored Church. Joseph said the purpose of the church was to get the saints to see eye to eye with the saints in Zion. The only saints who ever achieved The Redemption Zion were Enoch’s people, and they did so by obeying just 6 commandments. JUST SIX! God later gave Noah ONE more commandment to the first 6, which was to establish Courts of Justice to enforce the first six.
Torah observant Jews know all about the 7 Laws of Noah, but do you hear this from pulpits of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?
You were also told to combine your “Stick of Joseph” with the “Stick of Judah.” If you had scholars who dared to tell you… and anyone who knows just a LITTLE Hebrew knows that “stick” was translated from “Shevet” and that Shevet equals TRIBE. You weren’t supposed to combine your records. You were supposed to JOIN together and become ONE TRIBE.

Let’s get started redeeming Zion.

Hay-uh, it is true

“So said the Lord of Hosts: In those days, when ten men of all the languages of the nations shall take hold of the fringes of a Hebrew’s garment, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zecharia 8:23).
